Saw anime cartoon episode.. does not know name of cartoon help?

I was up late one night and i was watching this anime show and the only thing is i dont know what the show was called. It was about this brown haired girl and this woman commits suicide and communicates through email with her. In the credits there was always a crow following her and there was this whole big issue of death in the cartoon. I swear i’m not delusional and that as soon as i find out what the cartoon is called, i’ll delete this thread.. so if you could.. let me know what its called?

A very weird anime, but worth watching if you’re into cyberpunk or anime with really philisophical ideas.

It’s a pretty good series. It’s only thriteen episodes long. It won an award too when it came out in 1999. (I think that’s right)
