Is the PC version of FF8 any clearer then the ps version? The PS Version is so pixelated is hard to see what is going on or somthing like that. Is the PC version worth it, Its just a pain playing when you can hardly tell 1 character from the other.

Hmm. I didn’t notice any major graphics problems on either version myself. I personally prefer the PC version because you can manipulate savefiles and other things with it, plus it comes with Chocobo World. But the differences between the PC version and the Playstation version for FFVIII aren’t as pronounced as with FFVII.

Nevertheless, I’ve attached a picture I took from the PC version for reference. See for yourself how it compares with what you’re getting on Playstation.

I guess that’s a "buy" then on the PC version? I’d recommend eBay or searching around elsewhere online, it can be pretty hard to find in stores these days.

P.S.: If you have Windows 2000 or XP, then you might need to do some patching. But you should be able to get it to work. I was able to.

Unfourtantly, I Already own it..Well sorta, the day after I bought it I had to pack it up and send it over to my brothers house and its buried in about 200 boxes. I Didnt mean to pack it, Just got lost in all the other junk. I Got FF7 to work on my PC with little probs so im sure ff8 is no prob, I might get FF8 later on. Although im not too fond of the Summon Like Crazy system.

Just a warning- I’ve never played FFVIII on the PC, but I know that FFVII on the pc was really buggy.

Well, when I look at Agent0042s picture…..it looks the same on my PS version. Guess my game is like that, because I only have a small TV, so its hard to see all the pixels….. 😉

I play it on about a 19, 20" TV. In the battle screens on the mountain in dollet, I could hardly see a thing..Kinda suxxors.

Do you have a friend that owns the PC Version? If you do just ask him to burn it for you or something. I think you should still be able to play it.
