The worst god damn FF7 chara…? Their all good but if i had to chose i’d say…………..aeris her attck is poor as are her limit attacks. Altough she didn’t deserve to die.

The worst chara from FF7 to me is Caith Sith. But not, because I hate him, no that�s not the point, because I don�t hate him. The thing is his stupid 2. Limit (wheels). They actually killed me onces. And that after I was fighting around for a long time without saving the game. 🙁

I was so mad about that, because there is no one in the group who does something like that. 😡

…..so many noobs, cait sith isnt a bad character really, its just noone likes him for a number of reasons. Ive played the game through a few times and i have found cait sith not a bad character at all. Everyone in the game has theyre strengths and weaknesses, some characters are better than others but once u get ur character to a high leval theyre pretty strong and by that time uve finished the game and well who cares weather theyre good or not cos they did what they were ment to do.

Well, Cait Sith joined the party as a spy. When it comes to the point you�ll find out, of course, you�ll hate him for that. 😡

After a while you get to know him a bit better and you notice he�s not that bad what everybody was thinking. And Cait Sith sees how all the others live and how they do there things.

And just think about it, his real body works for the shinra. He�s never seen anything different than this kind of world (the world in shinras eyes). 🙁

He�s learning about real live during the whole game, and he�s trying to help too. That�s the point what makes him loveable. 🙂

I don�t hate him for his person, I just hate him for his stupid second limit, because it killed me ones. Ok, no problem, I just leeve the dice in and this wont happen anymore. But I just hate it. 😉

Vincent was a great character but to make him just that little bit more admirable they should have revealed more abut his past.

So I’m not a true Final Fantasy fan because I think that there are "worst" characters? There <I> has </I> to be characters that are better, and some that are worse. So, we are picking which one we think is the worst from FFVII, because whether you admit it or not, there is <I> always </I> going to be a worst character.

Cait Sith is perhaps an under developed character, he did have his reasons to be in the stroyline, also if your very lucky with him then you can get the best limit in the game…but thats really hard to do.

My least favourite character is probably Aeris, just found her annoying and prissy, quite weak physically, though very good with white magic, I had other people who could attack better than her and were almost as good as her with white magic.
Yuffie is a veryc lose second, for more or less the same reasons as Aeris.

I don’t really have a least favourite character, but if i had to pick one i would pick Cait Sith(not Cait Smith) because of his limit break, it just seems rather pants to me.

Cait sith was the one who stole our keystone, kidnapped Marlene and then decided it ment nothing just because he did one thing to help them during an exicution. He’s just not worth the trouble. To bad they didn’t make him an optional character.

I think Cait Sith is the worst Sure, he’s got powerful moves and such, but he’s the most annoying and he’s the only one I really ever forget about when I’m playing the game.

Go to Wutai on the 3rd CD. As far as I know Yuffie won�t steal your materia anymore. But you should still be able to pick up Leviathan, because the stealing part has nothing to do with the fights she has to do at the temple. 😉

Hmm…Yuffie only stole once and its not like the materia belonged to them anyway. It belonged to the whole group brought by the money that the whole team work on. The worst character for me to used had to be Tifa. Sorry, but her limit breaks remind me of Cait Sith and I hate the spinning roulette thing. Too many misses and the monsters would get a hit damage on me. So it’ll have to be Tifa for me. Yuffie was too cool and Cait Sith was much better than that…only two limit breaks (I think) and its not like he was a bad character…he was a support character who would poke fun at the wrong times.

Cait Sith is like one of those characters that can be removed from a game and without them the game can still continue on smoothly if not better.

I agree with Rinoa_Yuna. They didn’t need Cait Sith to help save the world. Rinoa_Yuna, do you think Tifa’s an important character? I think she is because she helped Cloud get out of his Mako poisoning, and she convinced Cloud to go find Aerith. I find Tifa a useful character in battle too! I beleive she’s one of the most important characters in the game. What do you think? I agree with you on Cait Sith, he could be removed from the game, and things could go on smoothly.

I guess Cait Sith is the least popular character in the game. I may not be a Cait Sith fan, but I’m sorry Cait Sith fans. I’ve been through loving a character while everyone else hates or dislikes that character, it makes me ssoooo mad! Well, I don’t hate Cait Sith, I do like his personality in the game, I just dislike him only because he’s one of the weakest characters in the game. Other than that, he’s done some good deeds at the end of the game that I like.

Did barrett ever actually come in handy for anything, i really thought that having barrett on any part of the game was a waste of time, and i feel the same for Cait Sith, Aeris was okay, but she only lasted until the end of the first disk, i think thats pretty stupid, how they kill off one of the main characters, but thinking about it, if Aeris hadn’t of died then it would just be one long boring speech by Aeris, so i suppose it’s a good thing, oh well, Barrett and Cait Sith :notgood: :whatever: :notgood: :whatever: :notgood:

Well in my opinion, Barret was better than Cait Sith. His limits were far more powerful than Cait Siths. As for Aerith, she might have made long speeches if she would’ve lived, but they would spice up the story and made it really good. Aerith’s Great Gospel would’ve been highly useful against the Ruby and Emerald Weapons as well if you were trying to beat them. They would’ve made the game easier. So Aerith and Barret in my opinion were useful characters compared to Cait Sith.

Aerith’s attacks may be weak, but she was an excellent magic user! Cait Sith may have an instant win on his slots, but it’s a 1 in a million chance of getting it and my last game, stupid Cait Sith wouldn’t get his level 2 limit break and I was doing everything right to get it. Tifa, Aerith, Cloud, and Barret were the most useful characters in the game. Cait Sith was most useless.

My strongest characters were Cloud, Tifa, and Barret. Aerith was my best cleric. My Vincents attacks were weaker, so I made him my black magic user, and he wasn’t bad!

I don’t think Cait Sith is the worst in personality, just the weakest playable character in the game. I agree with you there. I just don’t like Cait Sith because he’s the weakest. He had good intentions at the end of the game. He got himself scolded by Scarlett and Heideger for Cloud and his team!

Cait Sith does play an important role being in Shinra. No offense Yuffie fans, but out of the two optional characters, Yuffie isn’t an important part of the game. Her story to me is like a side story. Sorry, it’s not because I don’t like her as much as some of the others, but she doesn’t play an important part of the role in the storyline. Her attitude is kinda fun though, I’ll give her that!

Aeris in my opinion had the best limit breaks in the game. Well, I think, it�s wrong to say this character is stronger than the other one, because it counts how often you use this character in your battles. 😉

I mean, my Aeris was beside Cloud my strongest one. Even with regular weapons! I hardly ever let her use magic, only her Limits and the Enemy skills (but everybody else did too). 🙂

And the weapons itself play a big role, too. Aeris has a lot of good weapons…. they just make her stronger than some others. My Aeris is stronger than Tifa already, when I fight around the old train cemetary, and this one is still in the beginning! But only, if you get her the good weapon, of course. 😉

So, if some people use Tifa more than others, they�ll say Tifa is the strongest. If some use Barret more, they�ll say Barret etc. 😉

I guess that’s true. I always used Tifa because I love her character! Everything about her character is just so appealing! Aerith may not be the best at attacking, but she’s the best at magic and her limits! After she died though, I used Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent or Barret.

this disscusion is getting pretty heated lol. and leo is right. every character does have it’s certain reasons for being in the game. i still think cait sith has a small reason…(sorry) but, they probably wouldn’t be in the game if there was no reason for their character

Tifas limits become overshadowed later in the game…Yuffies Doom of the Living is awesome!!! Tifa only hits the enemy 7 times while Yuffie hits them 15!! And if you get a miss with Tifas slots there is another hit of the chain if you power Yuffie up Enough her Doom of the Living can be one of the best attacks you have going!!(As you can see Im a Yuffie fan but Ive also used Tifa causes shes such a sweet gal)

Aeris’ final limit break can prove to be pretty useful too. it make the party invincible. now to me, that can be very useful…although all the other final limitbreak are strong to. omnislash kick mother f**king @$$

Well, maybee they’re all good if you know how to use them right. Everyone does have different thoughts on which character was so good. I guess my best trained characters were Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barret. The worst to me at limits were Cait Sith. Now remember people, Tifa’s slot aren’t that hard to get hit. Cait Sith sucks because he has only two limits.

I think, in fact, the worst character has to be Cloud. Just kidding, Cloud’s the best. Seriously though, Cait Sith does kinda suck. I mean, he is good and all after a while, but he is never needed. His role in the story was nothing more than a back-stabber that you grew to like (sometimes). Final Fantasy VII could have gone without Cait Sith and have been just as well off. Also, his final weapon is well… impposible to get if you happened to have missed it the first time around. Sure, others may have been harder, such as Tifa, or perhaps Vincent, but neither was impossible. Also, he wasn’t particularly good at anything such as physical attack or magic. His benefit was also his weakness. His slots. Well, sure, you could have gotten a quick, easy kill on the enemy, or a lot of help (both in healing yourself, and damaging the enemy), but you also took the chance of killing all of your characters in the process EVERY time you played with him. This made fighting tough bosses with him even harder. I have had many occasions where just that very thing has happened to me. The fact that he was a robot, and you never met him in person (well, as a "good guy", or "main character" anyway) really bugged me. I mean, it’s just a costume. Oh no, Cait Sith died!!! AHHH HELP!!!! Boo freakin hoo. The fact that Cait Sith could never really die never made the story better. Especially when he had to sacrafice himself in the pyramid incident (sorry to those of you who haven’t gotten there yet… but I think anyone reading this has, in fact, played the game through many times before). If he couldn’t die, then why was he and everybody else so sad when he left. I mean, he came back seconds after he "died" with much intended drama. Don’t get me wrong though, I like every FFVII character with their own respect. The one i "hate most", however, must be Cait Sith for these reasons exactly.

Well people think aeris is weak because..they keep her in the back row and load her down with materia!! Of course puttng her in the back row almost halves her atk and loading her with materis does also!

Yeah, you�re right. I forgot to mention that. Yep, the most leave her in the back row. They shouldn�t do that. There�s no need to. I always change that right in the beginning, which is good though, because when she gets hurt a lot, she can use her limits very often. And that means a faster growing of them. 🙂

And I think, the most people give her a lot of materia, because they say, she�s only perfect for all the magical skills. 🙁

You’re supposed to keep Aerith in the back row so I give her the long range materia and an armor or an accesory that boosted up her attack. Even if Aerith isn’t good at attacking, it doesn’t matter to me because in Final Fatnasys, I always feel like I have to have at least one magic user. Without cure spells, you’re screwed. Some people are nothing but about brute force and fighters and they don’t have any magic users because they judge the characters by their attacks:notgood: :notgood: :notgood: tsk tsk tsk.

Not necessarily. The characters were designed so most will be roughly equal, so Yuffie can be every bit as powerful as most of the others if you give her first-rate materia and equip her properly. And her long range weapons can be handy also.

yes, I was being a bit stupid, and every character has good and bad points. Although Yuffie is not one of my best choices in a party member….how about you?

I cycle everyone in and out of the party. Since Cloud is always there, I keep a weapon on him that has a higher growth rate and load him down with weaker materia to build them up. At about level 50 or so, I usually equip everyone with weapons like that until I get near something that might almost conceivably be able to consider thinking about being a threat to me. After the near semblance of danger has passed, everyone goes back to their high growth weapons. When all is said and done, they’ve become unconquerable badasses.

I sort of do the same. You might also need to play as the other party when fighting Sephiroth. Also (as I want to) you might want to perfect your game and master everyone in the game’s stats.

Thanks for filling me in on that Talena! I always knew that sometimes Tifa’s ultimate weapon was weak sometimes and powerfull sometimes, but never knew when. It’s similar to Cloud’s, only whenver his HP is low, his weapon is weak and when his HP is high, it’s powerful. So it’s Tifa limit gauge huh? It’s still very good. I still like Tifa’s limits the best because you use all of the limits she ever had into one great combo! They may be slots, but to me they’re not as hard as Cait Sith’s slot’s. Oh Yeah, I used Yuffie more in the game I’m playing and gave her dating sequence a try, I’m glad to find out that she never insulted Tifa;) !! Yuffie’s not so bad after all! Still, I like Tifa better because I’m too loyal to her and Aerith! I don’t dislike Yuffie anymore though. I just like Tifa and Aerith better.

Cait Sith was always one of my worse characters. I never really liked him, so I never really used him much. His limits are alright, especially that instant death one, but it’s really hard to get.

Oh, how I hated Tifa’s ultimate weapon. W/no limit guage, it does like 700! I always swapped that weapon with I think the Kiaser Knuckles (so I didn’t have to remove any materia) when her limit is low. I think the KK did 3000, so it’s better than 700. 🙂

well actually to me all the characters seem to be good. hmmm must think who would be the char that i hate…i guess i have to say Cait Sith. Dont like his slot limits.

TifaGirl…I also think that her weapon powers up everytime you get miss wit her slots..Im not sure though

….Aeris death i used Vincent so I didn’t use the others party members. And…his limit break are totally useless, ALL the others party members have a limit best than him. Except Yuffie maybe…

I always just use the characters I like! I always keep Tifa in my party because she’s really good and everyone knows I love her, and if Aerith lived, I would always use her too, but after she dies, I use Vincent because he can be a great magic user. I always just use the characters I like because I thought Yuffie. Cait Sith, and Red XIII weren’t that good. The best to me were Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and Vincent. Cid was good, but I’m not very big on Cid. I thought his character design was less apealing, and didn’t really like how he treated Shera. I think now the worst characters are Cait Sith and Cid. Yuffie’s character design and her attitude were awsome, but I didn’t think she was that good. She was okay. I just thought Tifa was better.

I’d say worst character is…AERIS!(don’t shoot me!) But in terms of character development I would have to say Cait Sith. He never actully got a chance to shine..His real body was at Shinra Inc. If he had joined the party as a human mabe I would have liked him better. But then there would have been two gunslingers, which you didn’t need since there was Vincent so what would be the point?

Also another reasen of me hating Cait Sith was that CloudxAeris fortune thingy. I dunno, it kinda just ticked me off. Poor Tifa. Having to stand there and listen. And Aeris could perfectly tell too! Meanie..Stupid ancient!

Everyone already knows my opinion on this, I’m sure, but I thought very few of the main characters had any kind of personality at all. Cait Sith did have something of a personality, so that makes him better than half the other characters by default.

I agree. The only time cait sith was important for the story was int he temple of the ancients. All of the other characters had a purpose and an interesting background. I think square should have added one more character to the game. tifagirl, i also use characters that i like! my favorite party was cloud tifa and aerith, after you know what, i use red XIII in her place. Well getting back on the subject, cait sith WAS indeed the worst character.

I hate Cait Sith. He just is kind of thrown in the game for no reason. I also blame him for Aeris’s death by give that turk guy the key. But, I probably just think that because i hate him. Does anyone else blame him?

Well, I think that Yuffie is probably the worst character because she is just so annoying. Plus she looks stupid and feaky! Cait Siff is a bad character for betraying the group and stuff but hey he did help alot in several occasions! And as for the 2nd Limit Break, that is pretty dumb!:)

The megaphones would of been cool…if he actually used them..I think they’re there so the little cat can yell orders at the moogle. If anyone says anything else bad about Yuffie I’ll steal your materia! Just kidding of course cause materia isn’t real….but really Yuffie is just so good!

Even though I did kinda like his Dice limit break once you got like 5 on them, Cait Sith was still just a latch-on character. They should’ve just used Reeve himself if they wanted a Shinra Spy, but I guess they were going for something a bit different. Not good different though…

Yes; remember he’s about in his forties and he was hitting on Aerith, Tifa, and Yuffie. He probably loves women all ages(up to forties probably), so that would make him a peifile.

Actually, a pedophile has a thing for children, not just anyone younger. So there’s really no cause for calling him one.

I agree, Cait Sith is a terrible character. But I have to say that he isn’t the worst. Barret Wallace is the worst character of all time. His role in the story is totally gay. His attitude sucks and he swears too much. It’s not the swearing that gets to me; it’s that he says one after every word!!
