The painted backrounds?
Really it saddens me to know that due to technology those beautiful painted backrounds from Rpgs like FF 7, 8,and 9, legend of the Dragoon, and Xenogears are gone. Really this is what makes an RPG an RPG awsome. I am a big art fan. Those backrounds were just so creative and detailed. Its what brought alot of fantasy into a game because the scenery was just too awsome.

I’m not a big art fan, but i enjoy art. and yes I agree those backgrounds are really cool looking. it does help the game a little bit.
