That’s the only comment I can think of…
No, actually, WHAT is this?
That’s the other comment I can think of.
It looks better than FFVII.
I’ve seen this before one day. A long time ago… Somewhere…
I have seen this in a Computer & Video Games Mag years ago. These are images from Final Fantasy VII That was supposed to be on the N64 but was never released because the game would consist of about 100 cartridges….
Funny story.
While cleaning out some old shit from the cvg office a long while back, when we moved into our new offices in barbican, I got offered a pack of 40 or 50 original FF7 art cells and a huge press pack about the original FF7 – back when it was on the N64 – and the new FF7 that was on the PS1. Cells were stuff like Red XIII and Sephiroth.
I shall one day photograph them.
p.s. Celes looks !hot
Please note that these are in fact the cells that were given to Computer & Video Games Mag several years ago. They were given to me by someone who works on the magazine when clearing out shit. I wont name him because he’s a nice man 🙁
Alright, I finally got the cells back from my old house, and I photographed them – Yes I realised they’re blurry as shit, but they show what they need to. The light in my room is awful, I’ve had a beer, and I’m tired, so you’re not going to see award winning photography here.
This picture (http://www.mmmonkeybusiness.com/group.JPG) shows some of my favourite cells from those that I was given, the corporate profile of square (with hilarious photos of fat beardy men who work for them, and a picture of Locke rendered in 3D for the N64 FF7 tech demo on the front cover, and an FF764 behemoth at the bototm, but you can’t see it as it’s blurry), and the folder in which the profile is kept within :p In the right hand corner of the picture, you can also see – a GCON, some wires, and a pair of my finest jeans.
This picture (http://www.mmmonkeybusiness.com/envelope.JPG) is just there to show the Square L.A. envelope I got it in, and the sheer amount of cells that I got – something like 49 or 50, though I haven’t properly counted them since I first got them last October.
If you really must know, that’s a wire-frame shot of midgar on the top of the pile. I’m not really willing to go through them and photograph certain things, sadly, as they’re quite shiny and nice and I feel dirty touching them.
Any questions though, and I’ll be more than willing to answer, though I doubt you have many :p
But thats just a matter of taste I guess it are different kind of graphics.
And 32 or 64 bit isnt that important, ive heard that X-Box has 32 Bit but the visual power of the box is much better then the N64……
opinion…
i think that’s just it!!! i can argue all day long with a friend about which graphics are better, but neither of us will see it the other way! i think it’s just how you like your graphics… personally i thought ff7’s graphics were superb… especially the fmv’s … THAT’S what i forgot for the ‘your final fantasy sucks’ thread… gotta go fix it!!! be back later *zoom!
