Did u beat the ruby wepon?

i know that i havent but it will be good to know if any one else has:)

yes i did i beat him in 7 rounds cloud used his limit break once and 3 knihgts of round cid used his limit break and healed and tifa used her limit break and used knights of the round as well 🙂

Yes I’ve beaten Ruby WEAPON with W-Summon materia and summoning Knights of Round 7 times. In another site, it says have the other two members in your party dead, that way the weapon doesn’t suck you’re party in the sand, but decide which character you want standing, master Knights of Round so another can be used, combine one Knights of Round with HP Absorb, and the 2nd Knights of Round with MP Absorb. Revive and Final Attack Combination. Why do you want the rest of your party killed, because unless the weapon’s claws are buried in the sand, you can’t hit him. He won’t bury his claws in the sand until he sucks you’re characters in the sand. When he does this, you never know if he’s going to suck up your most prepared materia character or not, but if you kill off the rest of your party first before you initiate combat you have say in which character will be standing in the battle, that way he’ll bury his claw’s in the sand at the begining of the battle. Once he has his claw’s buried in the sand, hit him with everything you’ve got! Sorry if this was long, but it’s the very effective way to finish him off!

It took me a verrrrrrrrry long time to beat him.

I beat him with out all the summon crap the last charcter i had after the damn thing use its thing when it sucks them into the ground was red and it was hard as hell i beat him my second try im not lieing:laugh:

If it was the one flying around then yes 😀
But if its the one underwater then no 🙁

It was neither. To see the Ruby WEAPON you have to beat Ultima WEAPON(the one flying around), but don’t worry, he’s the easiest of the WEAPONs despite Diamond WEAPON(the only one you have to fight in the game). You don’t even need KOR to finish him. Anyway back to Ruby WEAPON, after you beat the Ultima WEAPON, fly to the desert in the gold saucer area, you’ll see a red object sticking out of the sand which appears to be waving at you. Fly the Highwind up to it, the WEAPON will come out of the sand in its full form. Thats the Ruby WEAPON!

I thought that I was the only one who had a hard time with Ruby but I did beat him cloud used his limit 5 time after using 5 hero drinks Tifa use kotr once then used mine and cid did mine and then used three hero drinks that went to Tifa so she can finish him off with kotr again

ok this is how i killed him with no trouble. i had good materia combinations and used 3 slots which then raised my physical ability. i done this to defeat both weapons left in the end.

i can’t remember what its called because i havn’t played it in so long but theres a piece of materia that you get and when u die at uses the other piece of materia thats in the same joint slot.

so i had that materia and pheonix together. so when i had died pheonix came out and revived me and all my team mates. the other piece i had was mime materia.

i had masterd all 3 materia 3 times so that i had triple of it. all my team members were on lvl 100 also. so if one team mate died he would revive himself. i used mime for my limits. whenever i used a limit i would repeatily mime it so that i would use it over and over again.

i was virtually invunerable with this.

if you want to get all the materia you need a gold chocobo and you have to talk to the old man in the in at kalm. (i think thats what the towns called, its been too long)

Beating Ruby’s easy if you’ve beaten Emerald before him. Which you should do to get the Master Magic, Command and Summon Materias off of him.

I just had Cloud summon Hades to cast Stop on the Weapon, and then hammered him with KOTR multiple times after he’s buried his arms and I’ve resurrected the other two no hopers to heal Cloud’s MP when it goes too low.

Did I say no hopers? I meant party members.

hahaha no hopers. thats a good one. i feel the same about the others too. cloud seems to be the only strongest one out of them all.

Yeah I beat Ruby. But it was way too long ago to remember actually what I did to beat him. I do remember that Ruby was much harder to beat than Emerald for me. I also have to say that the reward for beating Ruby sucks. Wow a sucky gold chocobo when I already have one who’s much better at racing.

Wait wait wait… you get a gold CHOCOBO for beating Ruby? I dunno cuz I havent beaten him yet.. or Emerald. O_o 🙁

Well, not right away. You win a key item (forgot what it was called) which can be exchanged at some guy in Kalm for only a gold chocobo. The same with Emerald weapon, you win a key item but it can be exchanged for the 3 Master Materias so beating Emerald is actually worth it.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">Yeah, I beat it. Just go into the battle with two characters dead, and I just KotR’d it all the way from there, obviously healing after each Ultima. No real problems for me there.

And Emerald took me more attempts than Ruby.

heh heh, no hopers… yeah, for me, cloud’s so strong, i killed the other 2 chars beforehand, and i didn’t use them the whole battle… after cloud finally died, he used phoenix and ended up reviving the other 2, but tifa got whirlsanded away, and vincent died, so i just kept kickin ruby’s ass with cloud!!!… but still shephy’s the best character… in human form (the other 2 suck)

I beat Ruby Weapon. I’ve beten them all. Ruby was easier then emerald though

i agree strongly with this. you’d be much better of breeding your own. go here if you dont know how…

Yes I did, and I have a perfect strategy. Kill off 2 party members, leaving your strongest one with Knights of the Round and mime alive. Ruby’s tentacles will automatically come out. Use KOTR on the tentacles, then keep using mime over and over, on the tentacles, then him, and so on and eventually he’ll die. Give your strongest member Mystile armor, so most attacks will miss.

Of course, I have beaten Ruby Weapon, and whenever I play FF 7 again, I will beat Ruby again…. 😉

Even I wouldn’t poke fun at someone for reviving a three month old thread. Four months perhaps, but not three. 😉

Still… I never beat Ruby weapon or Emerald weapon. I was too annoyed at what a let-down the game was to bother. I was determined to finish the game, but as far as I was concerned, the end couldn’t come fast enough. I haven’t touched the game since then and probably never will again.
