cant kill humbaba

plz give me advice on how to kill the humbaba guy in thunder plains

There’s bound to be something that’ll help you in there.

Level up. You are in Chapter 5, which means that there’s no reason that would need to complete the Thunder Plains before any other sections. Make sure that you’re using a dressphere with high HP to survive his Meteor. Equip HP-raising or other powerful accessories. Or use Bribe / CONGRATS! on him and you won’t have to worry about Meteor at all.

Have the dark knight dressphere and learn black sky and use the move a couple of times and u will win but be careful with Humbaba’s meteor.

i just used Floral Fallal on him and he only took about 400 with meteor

"Normally?" There is no "normally." Damage is entirely dependent on your characters current defense stats. You’re not seriously still trying to beat it, are you? All, right, tell you what, here’s what you do: equip at least one of your characters with Lady Luck and then start up Random Reels. Line up three 7s on the bottom (it’s not too hard to do if you familiarize yourself with the positions of the symbols and then use "Pause" and "X" to time it) and you’ll activate CONGRATS! You will bribe Humbaba and get everything you would anyway for winning the battle, plus he won’t be able to use Meteor.

Another good way is once he gets low in health (about 8000-10000 depending on Paine’s attack) use charon. It deals great amounts of damage, usually max if ur really strong. Sure Paine gets no experience, but in my game it was good because Rikku and Yuna needed it more anyway.
