lets say i’m all into inu yasha and into the story for the episode i’m watching. and then they have a scene where the girl takes a bath, well…what am i supposed to do. I mean seriously, its distracting because my dirty mind will, in mere nanoseconds, think up things like, "ooh, i wonder if they’ll show it" and "if they do i wonder how she looks" and "man i can’t wait to see if they show it" and "i bet she’s hot!" and "man i wish i could get laid by an anime chick" and "damn why did i have to be human"
see. i start thinking all those things. that’s very distracting. i don’t like to see fanservice unless i ASK for it. that way i’m all ready and prepare. not caught off guard wondering whether i should ignore it or pull my "thing" out.
but its all good though. annoying thought it may be because it confuses a horny man like myself, but fun none-the-less. very fun. so…i like it. 😀
actually it really bugs me a lot as well. i know i’m the hentai master and all. and i have a hentai collection big enough to make the library of congress look like a preschools clifford collection, but i find it distracting when i’m obviously not expecting it.

I totally and completely agree with you on everything you just said, cept I dont have a huge collection of it….
A bath scene in a show to me is just another part of the show. Maybe it is because I am not a super horny freak, (only a little horny freak), since something as miniscule as that wouldn’t bother me. If Kagome started making out with one of her friends from school I could see what you mean.
I think the bath scenes are there to keep us guys interested and maybe the animators enjoy drawing the scenes.
