Which version are you the best at?

I’m definitely better at the arcade version then anything else.

And I haven”t put enough time in on the x-box and gamecube versions to truly master the controls there, so ps2 would be my second best.

well… since it’s the only one i have… because it would be rather pointless to purchase more than one copy of the same game… Gamecube.

I’ve never seen Soul Calibur 2 in the arcade, and I only own a PS2. I’ll let you guys do the math.

I play with an Arcade Stick on the home version but I like the Arcade better because of Conquest mode and the many people who play it. I wish to aquire the highest rank in Conquest mode… once I get more quarters. ^_^

Havent see any soul calibur 2 in the arcades here. So im pretty hooked up with my PS2 version. The controls are easy to execute.

I’ve played all the versions but i think the X-Box version is the best. Gamecube second then Arcade and last (and most definately least) PS2

I prefer the XBox one, because Spawn is the bickedy bomb.

I haven’t played Link or Spawn… but personally I think that those bonus characters are really "broken" or unbalanced for gameplay. If it was a button mashing affair, it wouldn’t matter. In a real battle with pros, a huge disadvantage would bring Link/Spawn/Heihachi into victory.

Also, for favored version (instead of best at because I have a universal joystick)…

Arcade – Conquest mode!
PS2 – Heihachi is really the close to being equal to the main balance of characters, plus I’m a Heihachi fan! 😀
Gamecube – It has Link… but that’s about it.
Xbox – I don’t hate it at all but it would go up in rank if I had a HDTV and many other sound/video stuff.

Link and Spawn fit in perfectly with the other characters (especially Link). Heihachi is shit! He doesn’t even have a weapon, he’s great in Tekken but shit in SCII

If you stick Tekken on Heihachi, he’s uber powerful.

I’ve only played the Cube version because that’s the one I bought. It was either that or the PS2 version but I prefer Link over Heihachi.

I never personally played as Spawn but… lets compare!

Heihachi = Stronger damage, able to do a 10 hit combo, can do a lot of damage…. but in exchange, loses range.

Link = Has MANY projectiles, able to do a lot of damage and can play the traditional "Fireball keepaway" tactic.

Spawn… not sure, I have not played as him and from what I heard, he isn’t "too" special.

If Spawn isn’t wielding Anguish (the axe) and his infamous chains, then they shouldn’t have bothered putting him in Soul Caliber II.

Of the 3 additional characters, I find Heihachi the weakest and Spawn the strongest.

Link and Spawn don’t fit in, they look really out of place. 🙁 I mean, Spawn is some stupid dead comic character or whatever, in the midst of all these ancient Japanese warriors and stuff, the only character like him is the big walking turd MacFarlane coughed up for the game. :/ And Link is… well, LINK. Of course he looks out of place. So are his moves (from what I hear). And I’ve seen Spawn in the XBox version (playes with him), and he looks really out of place. If anything, Heihachi fits in the best. And he isn’t that bad a fighter, either.

Spawn has lots of juggles, and is generally has very good range and damage.

I’m best with the PS2 version, though the GC and XBox versions are probably better. The Xbox controllers were kinda weird because they are kinda large…it took me a moment to get used to them…but I still mopped the floor with Ivy on everyone…

I hate arcade controls. I can’t use a joystick for crap. 🙁

Actually, MK, pros will usually say that the real cheap character in SC2 is Necrid. He’s usually banned at serious tournaments. That’s what I’ve found from reading up on SC2 strategy, anyway.
