Weapon system

What do you think about the weapon system in FF VIII??

I think it sucks ass because I just want to buy a weapon and not find 4754305409 components from all around the world so I can make it into a weapon.

This is by far the most annoying thing from FF VIII…
I liked the game except for that part of it..

It was alright. Sure it sucked looking for the required items at time, but that can easily be countered by using a FAQ or something related ^_^

Tacked on length. IMO only ultimate weapons should require a long quest. But, hey, it’s different.

But for most of them you can refine cards, or you just get the items from general muggings. You don’t have to go on a quest for every weapon. If you don’t want to, you can just not upgrade it at all, or just go for the last one. You don’t need the upgrade to improve strength, just better Str stat junctioned magic.

The weapon system was extreamly annoying to me, by the time I beat the game I don’t think anyone had more than their second weapon.

yeah…getting weapons was only cool for Sqaull for Lionheart..other than that..maybe Selphies The End..otherwise it’s a waste to shop every friggin’ where for some stupid items..i mean it’s cool and all for that unique style of weapon customizing..for those fans who have the interest to look for these items..but it’d be much more enjoyable if it was done IRL or Virtual Reality….but we’re not that far so hardcore fans can have their piddly running around to reformat their characters abilities/weapons by exchanging "XXXX" for "YYYY" instead of actually seeing the stuff..unless they have a decent imagination..whatever

mmm im wondering y the SeeDs use weapons made from JUNK?

im right at the end of the game and have not upgraded anyones weapon simply becuase i didnt have the shit.

im questing for the ultimate weapons now tho
