sphere break (spoiler?)

When you go to Luca and compete in the Sphere Break tournament how do you beat Shinra.
I tried 20 or so times and i fail horribly.
Is there some kind of trick to beat him cuz i can’t figure out how.

There is a trick – you use "echoes." When making a "break," try to use the same number of coins each time. Use two coins for a break, then two again and just keep doing that. Or you can try using three each time. That will get you "multipliers." Sometimes you might get unlucky and end up with a 0 in the middle. If that happens, you just have to start doing the pattern again and hope it’s enough to make it.

It’s not impossible, it’s actually not that bad once you get familiar with how the echoes work. I actually did it once without echoes, but that took a lot of luck and skill. It might still take a few times, even without the echoes, but it’s probably going to be a lot easier with them.

Oh, by the way, unless you’re trying to get 100% completion in one try (something that I don’t recommend), you don’t really have to win the tournament if you don’t want to. It gets you the Lady Luck dressphere, which is really good to have, but you can get by without it and you can always challenge Shinra for it again in Chapter 5 or in New Game Plus instead.

Yeah, all you have to do is know how to do the echoes and its very easy. At first I didn’t know how to win too, but once I got it I never lost a match against him.

Oh and during the game try using an item sphere and you’ll get the Treasure Hunt Garment Grid.

i beat him easy all you have to do is in chapter 5 in kilika talk to the guy on the boat and ask him to take you to the youth league base and then on the map you will see a yellow dot and a moving yellow cross go to the dot it will be a chest and inside will be an accessory letting you break damage limit and if you catch the yellow cross the guy will give you a really cool coin that has the trait X4 quota which makes it really easy to kill Shinra.

Yeah, but that requires waiting till Chapter 5 though…

God i hate this mini game. Im so bad at maths.

lol i hate it to cos i had to let my friend beat shinra to get the Lady Luck dressphere which is soooo cool but moist of all i hate Sphere Break and Bliztball has gotten harder

defeating shinra might be easier in chapter 3, if you try to beat him in chapter 5,go on, but I will not recommend that,:)

echo is the only way I think since it’s the only coins you have, try to make 2 coins- echoes, it’s easier to obtain, but, shinra’s number 1 coins should be deadly as well, if he cast out 3 "1"s, you are death for sure:p, just quick reset

but it;s worth beating him.ECHO:)

I did it by using coins with x Quota in chapter 5, but it was hard.

Also Blitzball is shit in X-2, u can’t play only watch and the team is shit, the average stats for a player is 4, but the luca Goers have there stats in the 30s
