most ANNOYING creature

we’ve talked a bit about the weirdest creature you remember, how about the more annoying, most irritating piece of shit creature that keeps bothering you?

forgive me i dont know the names of mine but you will no doubt know what creatures i mean.

the most annoying for me was that zombie creature in FF7. u encounter him down benneath the shinra mansion where u find Vincent. this creature pissed me off becuase it was so damn slow in having its turn, i just wanted to kick the shit out of it and get on with the story line.

the other annoying creature of mine is a great big plant type beast in FF8 (not the ochu the other one) its like a great big mouth with teeth and lots of tentacles. it does a move called "bad breath" which affects all party members with confuse, blind, silence, poison, slow and God knows what else but it always does the shit and i have to escape it

That would be ‘Marlboro’, and yes that is easily the most annoying creature ever in an FF. It’s just that ‘Bad Breath’ attack that does the damage, but if you protect against all the status’s then you should be fine.

Malboro is annoying to me too. Another one are those fossil guys that i atleast know are in ffX and ffx-2 that do stone breath. I normally don’t have an item equiped that wards against it. A third that i hate are those Tonberrys, i don’t know how good they are in ffX-2 but in X they cast that karma spell that brings your guys down low in life, and it doesn’t even give you too much AP.

Yeh, the Tonberrys in FF7 annoyed the hell outta me. Not the ones in the Gold Saucer, (those were piss) but the ones in the North Crater. Whenever they used Everyone’s Grudge it would kill Cloud intsantly. I could kill them in one or two attacks, it was just the fact that the little git would always kill Cloud and I’d have to revive him. And there were a hell of a lot of these Tonberrys.

I’d always just summon to bypass the stupid Epitaph’s stonebreath. gets Yuna some experience cause i rarely use her…
where did tonberrys come from eh? someone else asked about moogles too and Moombas…but it seems like they’re just creatures originating from FF animators/creators themselves so i guess that’s a stupid question.
and Malboro’s suck ass cause BadBreath has more than three status afflictions and it’s time consuming to customize all equipment to defend against the major ones like confusion, poison and berserk…but oh well..

WRONG!!!!! it takes 4 9999 hits to kill tonberrys in ff7
and yes that plant thing with the big teeth is my most annoying ff creature EVER!!!!!!! That badbreath move p�sses me off

Does bosses count as one? Well if it does then Angra Mainyu is the most annoying creature. 1 hour battle! I got pisssed so I just sacrificed my guyz to win (chaoron)

If bosses doesn’t count then I agree with Malboro from FFX. I usually don’t equip my characters with anti- status effects. Once I trained in the Omega Dungeon for like an hour and I fought Malboro. He friggin used bad breath and confused all my guys and also all of my characters have Evade and Counter.I died like that for like 5 times.:mad:

omega dungeon……………brings back bad memories of me getting killed by that thing…..without saving it for ages……..

I get easily annoyed by any creature that has high HP and takes a long time to kill, but doesn’t give you much of a reward (EXP, items, gil, whatever) for killing it.

yeah like in ff7 on the snow iland theres a bit of grass…if u walk on that grass u fight some red dragon thing.he takes ages to kill and u get peanuts 4 it…. 😡

going with what u said also agent0042 about the monsters that take ages to kill, i find it extremely annoying when not only do they have enormous amounts of hp, but the creature itself is some pissy little bug (LIKE THE TONBERRY!) that has pathetic attacks and spends most of the battle standing there or executing a 3 minute move that takes away less than 500hp.

those cactuar things are also annoying…..always running away!!!
