How godly would it be to have a full fledged casino in the game, expanding on what they did in FFVII? I can imagine spending hours beating down some monsters to get more money to play at the casino.

Lufia 2 has a Casino, where you can gamble to get some of the best items in the game. Oh wait, you were always trying to steal MY copy of the game, so you wouldn’t know.

Oh, and Adam, you can drink in Harvest Moon. It’s nothing on the scale that you described, but in the older ones, when you drink alcohol you do a little tipsy dance. I think you even pass out from a drink in one of them.

I remember in the first Alundra, in the Casino part of that game, Alundra is offered a drink that’ll "put hair on your chest or make them all fall out." Of course, I stupidly drunk it each time and Alundra does a funny sort of "run around like an insane lunatic before running smack on into a wall and falling unconscious, before regaining Full HP" sort of thing.
I miss Alundra… I wish they’d made a direct sequel to conclude the game… Not the lame ass game they tagged "Alundra 2" which was tantamount to playing a video game whilst setting fire to your fingers and gnawing at your own liver.
… Yeah. More pub scenes in RPGs!!! If I ever write one, I’ll make sure every city has a pub and a different bar fight you can get into!!! Heh heh.
Oh, Armed and Dangerous has a pub in it too, but I think you just go there to get weapons.

Basically you’re the one trying to take over the world or send it to its ultimate doom. You have to make several repeated attempts to kill the heros. You are ultimately doomed to failure; opps I wasn’t suppose to mention that part.

I have Persona 2. I like it when the cute little demons give me their lunch monies.
So, I’d like to see an RPG that was a bit like…Volpone, or, Much Ado About Nothing, etc.
How about a video game where you’re the bad guy/girl/thing?
I like the sound of this idea, but have it were your faction can change going through the story line depending what choices you make. I think that would be kool, it’d have to have multiple endings of course tho…
i had oe about this soldier type lady, Lilly, an orphen, taken in y the palace gaurds and trained to be a fighter. Shewas sent on a mission, but badly injured.
During this time, there’s this big dream seaquince, in wich you get asked a bunch of questions. if you answer them, you canget an item wich will let you learn an ablility or use a certinweapon. like learning fire magic, ice, or some thing. and weapons were like sword, bow, knives, staff… it was fun but alot of work.
she was rescued by some kindly old lady, who eventually shoves her grand kids, twin girls, on you to take back so they canbecome soldiers or what not.
So then you go back to the palace and dump the kids. then the girls go through this "interview" thing, wich helps you pick the class they will be when they become playable charactors. one girl has perdomanatly magic classes (sorceress, sword mage, preistess) the other fighting classes(warrior, monk, swordmisteress, theif). and other classes incuding a similar one to a black mage and then a white mage as well. each class was represented by a diffrent charactor image.
it was prety cool. i’m still working on it…. that’s about as far as i got… i love rpg maker.
