I am both shocked, offended, bemused, and bamboozled to see no mention of Naruto.

It’s easily the most silly anime i’ve ever seen, even with a hint of paedophilia in a later episode (That’s episode 54, for all you wonderland veterans!).

Seriously though, it’s a great series. It’s sort of kung fu, based around ninjitsu, with a bit of magic.

It’s really, really hard to describe.

well thats it. im skipping all the episodes and getting this one specifically now. lol

i still dont see what so special aobut this show. read the thread about "what anime your currently on" or whatever. i posted some comments on it about naruto. then again, like always, i’ve only see the first 3 eps. i’ll admit, i really liked them. but why go nuts over it?

Watch up to episode 18 and try and say that it’s not at least a bit cool.

I don’t know why I love this so much. It’s one of the first few manga that I immediately liked, right after the first chapter.

I guess that Naruto is so very popular because of maybe some of the following factors:

– there are a lot of very different characters. It’s not all about Naruto, others get development, cool scenes etc, too. Everyone can easily pick his or her favourite.

– the setting. A quite unique fantasy ninja world, that’s really something nice.

– very good artwork. The author can draw really well, and shows lots of details in background as well as in objects and finally, the persons. The drawing style is both pretty and relatively unique.

It’s a captivating story. I will never stop reading it, because I want to know the fate of these characters that I’ve grown so attached to. It starts peaceful, but the big conspiracies, the real enemies appear later… and it gets cooler.

After three episodes the series only scratches the surface of its world…

That and it doesn’t involve the mighty GAI SENSEI!

Man…for the moment, Naruto has to be my favorite anime series. Yeah it’s silly, but this series has managed to keep me hooked for quite a few months. I look forward every week to the episodes and manga being translated into English. (I’m up to the latest on both. Episode 65 and Chapter 199. Yes, I have no life. ^_^) From the great comedy to the sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat-that-was-schweet fight scenes, Naruto is a magnificent series which I hope continues on for as long as it possibly can.

Naruto is easily one of the kewlest animes ive seen and one of the only ones that keeps me hooked and waiting for the next ep to download :]

the anime is very similar to the manga and in this case thats not a bad thing.

Yeah, I hate it when anime adaptions leave out things from the manga, drown the story in filler episodes or entirely ignore the original story. Naruto is good for following the manga very very closely. =)

i’m caught up with the anime and manga as well, took about 3 days for me to read the 23ish volumes because it was soooo good). The manga and anime are very similar. I like the anime because the fights scenes are MUCH better than the manga, which is understandable. Good artwork and original. Sasuke is the coolest character in the world.

You’ll laugh and cry, atleast I did at a few areas, and generally have a great time watching it.

It has definatley becaome one of my top 10, maybe even top 5, favorite series.

Come on, who doesn’t like ninja action?

NARUTO KICKS ASS!!

i love it, i’ve downloaded and watched all 68 episodes in 2 weeks, it gets better as it goes, and the pratically every episode leaves you wanting to know what happens next, top notch

Sasuke & Kakashi Rule, and Sakura and Kurenai kick butt too

Part of the reason why Kakashi rules is his love of that particular novel of literature.

Which is one of the reasons why Jiraiya is fast becoming one of my favourite characters as well. Heh heh.

Yes, the anime is damn cool, and the manga had me pretty darn hooked as well. So, yeah, a nicely written series.

And as for opinions on characters, Misao:

Sakura: Started off thinking she was a stuck up pretty girl, but now have a soft spot for her because of certain events happening later on in the manga.

Shikamaru: A defniite person to follow if you wanna half ass your way through life.

Hinata: <3

Anko: <3

Temari: Uhhh… <3 (Yes, I have no reason why, but I like her character lots.)

Sasuke: Deserves at least one good break.

Neji: Needs to learn how to look down…

Naruto: Needs to learn how to shut up.

Chouji: Needs to eat a wee bit less.

Akamaru: Has one of the coolest moves in the history of mangas…

And, uhhh:

Orochimaru: Needs to see someone about the habit of getting extra limbs that look a lot like snakes…

I think I’ll be quiet now.
