Here is my idea on how it should have worked: I think that each character should have had THEIR OWN, and that’s it! So they couldn’t change garment grids they had one assigned to them at the beginning of the game!
And when you equipped a dress sphere to a certain characters grid, it shouldn’t have been available to equip on another grid, that would make it funner since you couldn’t have 3 of the same class at the same time… You had to dequip Yuna of the Gunner before you can equip it on Paine’s garment grid for example…
And as for the stat bonuses, they should have been called ‘Transition Spheres’ and you should have had to find them throughout the game, and equip them to your grid much like you do the dress spheres…
Anyway… as you can tell, I really hated the system used in FFX-2, I thought it was childish (wow a dress on a garment grid, clothing is their friggin source of power), very poorly planned as I never used ANY garment grid, I just stuck with the first steps, they were to numerous and to useless to do the game any good…
Personally, this is the first time I can really say that I am very disappointed with Square Enix’s work, and I hope they never screw a game up this badly again…
Oh, and BTW, although I think that the spherechange sequenes are too long, I also think that they are quite beautiful and so I do like watching them at least once.
you don’t like casting flare or holy?? :eye:
But I also agree there shouldn’t be a lot of Bangles and Accessories in other Final Fantasy games…
I can’t really say that it’s a bad thing… it’s all good in my opinion, especially since there is really nothing too bad with the whole Garment Grid system… other than the fact that Unerring path is almost useless compared to everything else…. unless you’re EXTREMELY impatient.
i don’t think there’s too many..GG nor acc. i think there should be a variety. one improvement though, is for them to allow some more skills to be used.. or bring back old moves.. Slice&Dice is interesting.. and what about Fury Cast? the mix list could have increased… it seems FFX had a larger mix list than FFX2..
Shuyin uses "Slice and Dice" under the name "Hit and Run." .
Shuyin has ALL of Tidus’ Overdrives, bu tof course they go by different names… Hell, he even has the same voice actor, so it is a pain to understand what is going on when….
SPOILER
Tidus starts talking to you at the end to motivate you WHILE you’re fighting Shuyin..
I REALLY hope you don’t play FFT, FF5, or FF3j, cause it uses the same basic system. All the DSP system is is a fancy job system that’s been around for ages. Only real differences are the ability to learn things ala esper, and switching jobs mid-battle. I for one fell in love with the job system in FFT. It’s great fun to be able to completely mix things around in the middle of the game to make things easier or harder on you.
