Server Registering n’ Stuff

Alright, I’m pretty sure that everyone is all over the place in FFXI by now. To help new people (and this is for the sake of new people and those who don’t mind switching), we should try to get a home server for FFS.

To determine this, I want whoever is currently playing FFXI to post in this thread and say what server you’re on. I’ll tally everything up and see how many people are on what server. However, by posting, you’re also agreeing that you can help pass out world passes to people.

I’m floating around in Leviathan. I guess I’ll have to start saving up gil. =P If anyone is based in Bastok and knows where to buy a world pass there, I’d appreciate the help.

Okay, so, Khyros and myself are on Cerberus. I know he’s above lv10, and I just hit 9 last night.

In case people are worried about world passes, and don’t yet know the trick to "choose" your server after you’ve made your character, then here it is:

1. Create your character and starting nation. At the next screen you will be asked to "link" your character to your PlayOnline ID in order to begin play–DON’TARU do it just yet.

2. Instead, press cancel to go back to the title screen. Your character will be saved, so don’t worry. At the title screen, go to "Delete Character".

3. You will see the character you just created, along with his/her stats, as well as the server s/he is headed for. If you don’t want that server, delete that character (noting that you can breeze through the creation process again, since the choices you made such as face, hairstyle etc. are saved.) Keep creating and deleting until you wind up in your world of choice. It costs nothing extra, but it may take a while, so be forewarned.

When the server is to your liking, exit this screen, link to your POL ID, and begin play!

Bit late fer the tip on getting new severs, I’ve already been on Leviathan fer a week now, and all my other characters (my wife is playing, and while I’m still under the free trial, I’ve made a few other ID’s just to try em out) have consistantly wound up in Leviathan also.

Soooo, yeah, a world pass is probally the onle choice at this point.
