The best/worst FFVII character

I’d just have to say Sephiroth is the best FF character. I mean…LOOK AT HIM…kick ass hair, awsome cloths, he can kill anything in one shot…hell, look what he did to that damn snake….Now that was just kick ass.

i agree with you fallen vampire. Sephiroth is like the coolest RPG character ever – the hair, the black cloak, and the whole atmosphere… and the masamune is a NASTY weapon…

If i had to give a least fav character i would definately say Cait Sith was the worst.

Best and worst in Final Fantasy VII:

Sephiroth is easily one of the best villians in Final Fantasy VII. He has a sense of evil, but moreoever, a sense of calm insanity that enchants you. However, the best protagonist is . . .

Aeris

She is a selfless, compassionate, higly strong willed character and stands to serve as a model for heroines later in the series and perhaps for other games. She is easily the most likeable character in this game. She is also the best party member tactically because of fury brand, and other healing/invincibility limit breaks.

The worst character period is . . .

Tifa

I have to say I’m truly dissapointed with her character devolopment. When you take into account the time she is given over three discs versuses the other ones, it doesn’t hold nearly the weight. In addition, her dialouge holds this flimsy and emotioanlly void atmosphere to it that several people I know have noted. On top of this, she is not character of strong will. As I posted in my "who deserves Cloud topic" she is only hopeful when good events are happening. A true measure of character is how they get up when they fall, and she provides substantially weaker than the other characters, especially for a girl whos fists are her weapons. She seems to only be neccessary for Cloud’s past and nothing more. I wish they had spent a lot more time with her. I read an article somewhere she was a middle draft character after I beat the game, and I laughed because it made so much sense.

The best FF7 charcter is Vincent by far! Granted he’s only in your party for a limited times and he doesn’t play a major role, yet still he is my fav FF7 char. 😀
I don’t think that I have a least fav or "worst" FF7 char…um….prolly just some bad dude somewhere. An enemy maybe? :confused:

The best FFVII character is my girlfriend Yuffie! She provides the party with challenges and is handy in battle and always has funny stuff to say!

And I don’t have any use for Vincent. He hardly has anything to say and he isn’t that great in battle and his ultimate weapon sucks and he just doesn’t interest me any. So there!

The best ffvii character is Aeris,she saves the world after all..

the best character would be sepiroth. he is sooooo hot and cool looking. he will be remember by all that he is THE best villian. there are even games out there with characters looking somewhat like sepiroth. (they don’t even compare with seprioth)
the worst out of all is…..no ones really bad, but tifa’s last limit break is horrible. i was SO dissapointed. i love her, but i hate having to put her on saddness to slow her limit thing down. she’s still my girl though.

I say the best ff7 characters are

1. Sephiroth everything of him looks cool,he seems a really powerful at the beginging although I have to say I am extremely dissapointed in how weak he is in the end, it would be cool if he has the stats of Emerald+ruby weapons.
then i would say is either Cloud Rufus

Mhh… I think I stated somewhere that the best is Sephiroth before. The looks, the Masamune, everything seems to be great.
Although I have to agree with nfinitfx that I was disappointet in how weak he is at the end. Especially if you tried your luck with Emmy and Ruby…
But anyway… e is the best villain ever.

And my worst choice is Yuffie. Ever since she stole my materia the first time I played I never used her in my party. Agnhh…

Personally, I like Tifa. Tifa is not exactly the main female role of Final Fantasy 7… but at the same time, she’s not exactly the minor female role. She was a huge benefit as a party member and I liked using her a lot. She had a storyline that is meaningful and understandable.

I hated Aeris though. She was only useful (if you leveled her) in the first disc. After that, her stats and EXP just disappear… thats it, no more Magic User Aeris. Though her story is great… I wouldn’t want to go through FF7 just to revive her… if she could of anyways.

Well if I had to choose a girl and a boy from every game I would pick…

FF7 = Sephiroth/Cloud and probably Aeris

FF8 = I dont like any of the girls so Squall, Irvine and Zell

FF9 = Again I like none of the girls so Zidane and Amarant

FFX = Auron and Yuna

And if I have to pick just one character from Advent Children I will pick the new silver haired guy Otropolis 😀

Oh and uh… I absolutely LOVE Red 13 😉

My favourite character is Vincent, but his limit breaks render him just about useless, so.. I’ll say Yuffie. Her final limit kicks ass, in my game she was stronger than Cloud (^^;), and she’s funny. 😀

Worst character is undoubtly Cait Sith.. Not much magic, not much strength, and silly limit breaks.. And he (it? XD) is a traitor. Ya.

The best character in the game would have to be either Sephiroth, Rufus, or Cloud:

Sephiroth: Amazing character design and one can easily say that Sephiroth is and always will be THE BEST VIDEO GAME VILLAN OF ALL TIME! His theme is prodigious not to mention Masamune. He’s story is so tragic and yet so heroic concerning the Wutian War. I’d say he’s one of the most developed characters in any video game out there.

Rufus: This guy has almost everything: Money, power, looks, and a winning personality! If you can call I’m-going-to-rule-the-world-by-fear a winning personality. He is a strong leader to the end where he faces his death like a captain of a ship when the ship sinks. Rufus is just AWESOME. Nough said.

Cloud: Is the hero, without him, FFVII wouldn’t be FFVII. For most of the game he is the serious, I’m going to complete the task fate sent me to do, which is destroying Sephiroth. But at the end he say’s "Come on everyone! Let’s mousey!" How prodigious is that?! He is a hero with certain flaws showing he’s human (cough cough Jenova, not really 100% human sorry Cloud!) and he’s just plain out cool.

The worst character I think is Aeris. She’s Miss Goodie Two Shoes and sooo annoying. The only thing good about her is her limit break. When Sephiroth killed her I dansed for joy because I didn’t have to deal with her and her weak attacks. ^^ but I guess she’s okay character wise, fighting wise besides limit euuuh no, she’s bad.

i stopped reading this thread when i read that because i got an urge to hurt myself and nearly committed suicide.

Best Character: Cloud.. he’s tryin his best ta stop sephiroth. For Aeris’s sake. And to stop Meteor..

Worst Moment: Aeris’s death. The whole FFVII world got into a serious debating on whether she’s dead, alive, blah blah, get a wat to revive her.. if only Square showed Cloud saivn her den tat wud b ok..

Anyways, best FF7 character, without a doubt, Cid. All-Time-Greatest-Cid-in-a-Final-Fantasy-EVER. Followed by Marlene, a character more developed than most who saw more than her 12 minutes worth of game time, and the Turks. .. I mean Goddamn. . .the Turks *drools*

hi everybody, im a new user, which doesnt really matter (anyways) im not sure the best character is, cloud was awesome and so were vincent and cid. and sephiroth is with out a doubt the best bad guy of all time no other villan compares to him.

i know that the worst character is cait sith, i dont know why but i always hated him, even though he has a lot to do with the story, i guess the first thing i didnt like about him were his looks, i also didnt like his limit

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">Cid did make me laugh on quite a few occasions, and he’s really useful in battle too, so I’d probably have to pick him as my favourite. I did take a liking to Aeris and Yuffie in particular too though.

And my least favourite of the main characters would have to be Vincent. I didn’t really like his character, and I hated him ever since the time I used Galian Beast against Materia Keeper. I didn’t want to kill off Vincent, so instead the battle went on for ages while he kept healing it. :p

No doubt… Cloud is my favor character… (like most of the other people… =P)
And the worst one… Cait Sith? Useless and boring… o__o
Aeris? She’s fine…. Tifa’s better =] I always thought Cloud will hook up with her before playing the game… But… doesn’t seem so? haha

HEY HEY, there aint nothing wrong with Tifa Lockheart! She dressed so cool! She was the best with limit skills. You never had to set the limit skills back to use the old ones! It sounds like your one of those people who have a problem with big breasts! You know that can offend other women who have big breasts!? Tifa’s the best female fighter in the game, and she’s the best looking! I like Tifa, don’t be dissing her! She pitched in to help Avalanche save the world from Shinra’s life sucking Mako, and she didn’t even know Barret, that’s what makes her character so good!
