Favourite Music. *Possible Spoilers, I Suppose.*

As well as the video and graphics of the game, the score of music provided counterpoints each scene and each scenario well. Which piece of music did you find the most moving from the game?

For me, the Dark Messenger punctuated Kuja’s character to a tee, along with the music playing when the Silver Dragons attack the Invincible. Those two pieces of music are so moving when they play.

I especially like You’re Not Alone. I think that’s one of the best songs in the entire Final Fantasy series… Other favorites are Black Mage Villiage, Vivi’s Theme, Eiko’s Theme, Garnet’s Theme, and Dark Messenger…

Don’t get me wrong… There are other cool and even awesome pieces of music in the game (and I really really love my OST *huggles OST*), like Dark Messenger, the thing which played in Branbal, or the Gulug Volcano music…

…but You’Re not Alone is in a completely different league. It is one of those rare songs that just fascinate you at once. The song starts playing and you gasp and say aloud: Wow!

"You’re Not Alone," "Melodies of Life," and "Rose of May" are definitely my three favorites.

They all get a LOT of playtime on my CD player… 😉

Everything kurohime said, plus Protecting My Devotion, The Sword of Doubt, Eiko’s Theme and Slew of Love Letters. (That last one is just sort of a funny, wacky piece that I really like.)

my favourite pieces of music would haven to be "You’re not Alone", "The Dark Messenger", "Feel My Blade", "Skirmish of the Silver Dragons" and of course "Melodies of Life".

I really do love all FF IX music, especially melodies of life. I was sitting here listening to them play and I started paying attention to a song and I though, gee, this is really pretty. I looked at the title: Game Over. Honestly, it’s nice of them to give us such soothing music after we’ve gotten our tail handed to us.

Do you know what?! I like any music that comes out of Nobuo Uematsu!

"You’re not alone" is brilliant. I like Immoral Melody, Dark Messanger and protecting my devotion a lot as well xD 😀

Plus, just because of their comic relief; Jesters of the moon ^^

My favorite songs are "Song of Memory", "You’re Not Alone", "Loss of Me", "Kuja’s Theme",and "Melodies of Life".

I’m surprised nobody else mentioned "Feel My Blade."

Its played during the mock battle/play with Zidane and the rest. It sounds like the FF7 battle theme orchestrated, I love it to death. 🙂

Melodies of Life is the reason I wound up at FFShrine in the first place. And seeing as I never would have met the love of my life if it were not for FFShrine, that song has a very special place in my heart.
