Ultimate Customized Armor?

Okay, we all know that the celestial weapons are the best weapons in the game, but what about armor?

I don’t know what to do! I have a [Break HP Limit] with three empty slots for all of my characters. I have 99 of everything, well, not everything, but almost everything. What do I do?

I was thinking of putting [Auto-Protect] and [Auto-Shell]. But I don’t know!

Auto-Phoenix is one of the more useable options, I personally prefer Auto-Haste or you can apply varios elemental eaters (trust me they can be usefull).

I have to say my opinion of the Ultimate Armor is:

Break HP Limit
Auto-Haste
Auto-Regen
Auto-Pheonix

But there’s certain disadvantages of some skills…

Auto-Haste is quite good but there’s an alternative option, Hastega. Just have someone cast it and with only a bit of recoving time, everyone is now in haste status w/o the need for Auto-Haste…

Auto-Pheonix is awesome but if the user or the entire team gets killed, Auto-Pheonix won’t activate. Plus it uses Phenoix Downs which may not be the best way of ressurecting someone… Too bad there isn’t an Auto-Auto-Life…

Auto-Protect and Auto-Shell are awesome bit if you max out Defense and Magic Defense, they aren’t as useful… Sure they still work but it may not be quite as worth it, especially if you have BHPL…

Auto-Haste
(anything here really, although I’d recommend Auto-Protect)

That setup got me through the Dark Aeon battles and such. If you’re going to fight Penance also, then you’ll need every character to have Break HP Limit, Ribbon, Auto-Haste and Auto-Protect. When I gave all my characters that setup I won the battle first time, but if I ever tried without Auto-Haste or Auto-Protect on any of the characters I wasn’t able to win.

north american users arent lucky enough to get Ribbon ^^

vivi ff, there is auto-auto-life at the end of the game. whihc is the gayest thing square has ever done…. 🙁

Mine looks like Vivi FF’s, although I sometimes use Auto-Med or an HP bonus ability. If I had the International verson, Auto-Med would of course be ditched for Ribbon, but I don’t.

True only the int. version has Ribbon. But it’s rather hard to get, since you’ll need 99 Black Matters to add one Ribbon.

You can’t really find the ultimate armor. You have to customize it yourself. Your best bet is to buy a Tetra Shield from Wantz at Macalania, and then hunt down those rare items needed to customize your armor. It’s going to be a long, hard, and costly (in Gil) process. Personally, I never made an ultimate armor for anyone cause it’s just too much. I have beaten Nemesis w/o any ultimate armor, and that’s the toughest thing to beat.

I wish I had Ribbon when I went through the Omega Ruins.

I haven’t found a good 4 skill combo… mostly because I haven’t touched FFX in a good long time. 🙁

You’re all wrong, the best things to have on your characters on a customizable sheild is auto phoenix auto haste ribbon and break hp

How are we "all wrong?" That’s pretty much exactly like what we said, except that some can’t get Ribbon because it’s only in the International version and some swap out Auto-Haste for Auto-Protect or Auto-Regen.

Just curious: why Break MP Limit? There isn’t much use for all that MP.

well, my tidus has learnt nearly every technique that everone else has learnt, like powerbreak or triple foul and that includes black magic and white magic. Thats why i customised break Mp limit. Also he does 89, 929 with a attack. The max damage is 99,999.

Too much MP is useless. 999 is more than enough, I can’t imagine ever using that much though. Whatever makes you happy. Personally, if you use too much MP on skills and such, consider customizing a better ultimate weapon for Tidus, including BDL and One MP Cost. It’ll work wonders.

For Ultimate armor, i suggest…
[Break HP limit]
[Auto-Protect]
[Auto-Haste]
[Does not matter]
This is probably the best. The first three is mandatory.
the last slot you can put Auto-Pheonix or Auto-Med, but i don’t suggest either one. Maybe use something like DeathProof or Stoneproof. I don’t Suggest Auto-Shell because it can halve curative magic as well as black magic

Why not Auto-Phoenix? Deathproof can protect against so called "instant death" attacks, but unless you use Auto-Phoenix, the character is on their own if they just get killed by a power attack.

Personally the best thing to do is to have two characters with auto phoenix, hp +30%, auto haste and break hp limit. your third member should have auto shell, auto protect, hp +30% and break hp limit. this is for the north american release of the game.

For the japanese release of the game you should have break hp limit, ribbon, auto haste,and preferably auto phoenix.

P.S break mp limit sucks big time it shouldn’t have even been put into the game.

Shove all extra HP + Speed + Str sphere’s into Auron’s path + 70 hours of soley leveling in the river of tears.

Lame but it works… Auron goes 4-6 times in a row without even a monster breathing… other characters stop leveling and are useless.

Keep a charged Overdrive for back attacks, run in circles and hold X, great mindless fun.

If anything attacks something seriously wrong has occured.

You need brake hp limit and break mp limit this gives you the ultimate amour.

you dont need no more then 999 MP, so there is really no use for break mp limit.

If you give an armour of your choice break mp and hp limits it makes an aromour that is unlike anything I have ever seen, for example a armour with these to things for Tidus will make "the long road" and when hit you will flash and sparkle!!!

No, what makes the "long road" is One MP Cost, if you even find that useful.
