***SPOILERS.***

Seeing as I’ve only played the first one, that’s the game I’m gonna talk about, but feel free to discuss any of the three in the series.

Anyways, I remember this game came out after Final Fantasy VII here in the UK. I remember the release date kept on getting moved back, and moved back, and moved back, and I think that only heightened my anticipation of the game.

Finally, it was released, and I found it to be a refreshing change. The three characters were interesting enough to hold my attention throughout the game. The use of the various evolutions of who was the main evil person was also well structured. The different villain for each main character was also nice to have, and gave a broader range of storylines running parallel to one another.

The one major part of the storyline I love, and I plan to plagarise at some point during my writing tenure, is the story between Jack and Lady Harken (the demon woman person.) Jack is in love with her, and she can’t remember who he is, and knows only that she has to kill him. That part of the story is wonderful, especially when Jack fights her for the last time and defeats her, then finds her soul being held and has to choose between her dying, or her living but with no memory of being a demon (thus no memory of him as a result.) He chooses the latter and wins my respect as one of my favourite RPG characters.

Wild Arms 2 never made it to the UK, but Wild Arms 3 is out. I really must get around to buying it sooner or later…

Wild Arms was a great game, it was the second best game at the time only next to FFVII. Right now I am working my way through Wild Arms 3, it’s a great game and I love the somewhat different way of turnbased fighting. The battle system is among one of the better ones I have seen. If you like FF then I can recommend WA.

Greetings.

Wild Arms, heh, this is a good game. I’ve only played the first and third ones, the second was never released in AUS, which sux.

The first one, had a good storyline in it, and the twist in regards to Rudy Roughknight’s origins, let’s say, I was a little surprised when I found out who he really is.

Number three, is promising. I’m not fond of cell shading in games, but I’m willing to over look that for this one game. Gameplay wise, it’s good. Fluid animation and sounds make playing this game an enjoyable experience.
