cd problem in crono cross

igot a problem my cd ahs no scratches what so ever and when i put it in and i play it i get to the part where you rescue the fairy ok i rescue her and then when i beat the guy that guards her i go thorugh the exit. but heres the problem al i get is blackscreen it dosen’t even change screens it stays black. so i turned the game off didn’t play it for 3 months then when i go to play it two days ago it shows "square l.l.c" screen but then it goes black and dosne’t even show the squaresoft logo i wiated like 10 minutes . please help me

Make sure the disc is clean from dust, then make sure the playstation lens is clean use a CD lens cleaner. Try opening up your playstation and see that all wires are secure and there are no objects obstructing the electric signals, and while you still have the case off the playstation use ctton buds to clean out any ‘gunk’ and dust now put everything back together. And try again.

Sometimes it can also be an incompatibility problem, like what model are you playing your game on ? Is it an old model PSX, a PSOne or a PS2 ? And which BIOS version is it on your console ? Also, if you’re playing it on a PS2, try not putting on the filter and loading options.

My friends CC is doing almost the same thing, the second disc isn’t scratched but whenever I try to use an element it’ll freeze. On both a PS2 and PSX1.5.

If it’s on a PS2…

Try loading the disc with the PS2 on it’s vertical position. Before loading, go to the Version Option (hit triangle once… then go to the top option and hit triangle again) and turn Dia. On.

If it’s on a PSX

Try loading the disc with the PSX on it’s side…. THEN flip it back to it’s normal position once you’re in.

My firend borrowed my CC game. Disk 2 doesn’t work. That’s odd becaused it worked with no problems when I played the damn thing.
