Here’s some poetry I made for school. Trust me, I suck at poerty but these 2 poems are not that bad… I want to share them with you cause uh.. who knows why… One’s a sonnet while the other is free verse.

Anti-Poetry

Poetry is very impossible to write
Rhyming this and rhyming that is too tough
Hard to find a topic that sheds some light
Then to follow through with it, its too rough!
Rhyme scheme is too much of an evil scheme
Alliteration seems to blow my mind
Internal rhyme is not a pleasant dream
Symbolism is hard to find
Writing poems takes up almost all my time
All these rhymes live me in a severe fit
Being a poet is worse than a mime
Shakespeare, how in the world id you do it?!?
Poetry is not for the weak in heart
Give it a try if you think youre so smart!

Growing Up

An innocent child,
only three and
totally oblivious to whats going on
in the world today.

Growing up is hard,
with all the negative effects
in the world,
like
drugs
and sex
and guns
and gangs
and violence
and terrorism.

One shouldnt grow up
protecting his or her life
as if he or she had
a million dollar bill
in a world surrounded by
experienced robbers.

I vow to protect this child
and I hope Im not alone,
cause its a big, bad world out there
and I havent survived it yet.
