Your Favorite Anime Opening/Theme Song

My favorite anime opening is the Trigun opening. The music is definitly awesome and they did a nice job with the opening sequences too.

My second favorite is kinda a tie between the Evangelion and Love Hina opening. Both of the songs are really very good. When I first started watching Love Hina I couldn’t get the song outta my head and I would hum it all the time. Now its the same with the Eva opening. I just cant stop singing it!

I liked Love Hina and Fushigi Yuugi opening theme song. I’m too embarrassed to say this, but, I also liked Sailor Moon opening theme song XD.

The superhyper disco Sailor Moon song just has a special place in the hearts of all of us o_o xD

Uhmm, I really love the opening song of Lain for no obvious reason besides the fact that I just like the music and the vocal.
BGC2040, Evangelion and Gundam Wing theme/opening songs come as a close second though 😀

Lot of ending songs aren’t good…o.O Trigun’s is horrible XD

oh! I thought Outlaw Star had a great ending theme song =o i had that one stuck in my head for days :S If I had to choose which one was the most horrible one i’ve heard, it would have to be Dragon Ball Z .. it wasn’t horrible, it was O.K, but I wouldn’t choose it over all the other anime ending theme songs :S

lol, I’ve really liked pretty much every opening I’ve seen, Trigun, Fushigi Yuugi, and Slayers to name a few ^_____^

Right now, I really like My Heart, Your Heart by Goddess Family Club from Oh, My Goddess! (the OAV).

Sakura Saku by Megumi Hayashibara from Love Hina is pretty good too. It got a bit annoying after a while though.

In case you tolerate it if I list an ending song… I gotta say Naruto�s ending,… it can cheer me up. It has some meaning, it fits to Naruto, and what�s best, it�s not Yet Another JPop song… It�s unique.

Yami no Matsuei’s Eden has got to be one of my absolute favourites, I *love* it. ^___^

Some others I really like are Velvet Underworld from Weiss Kreuz, Vision of Escaflowne’s opening (not sure what the title is), and Messiah from Angel Sanctuary.

I admit the DBZ intro was good but not the lyrics! I liked the music from the first intro, you know when it first got released.

I also love the opening theme to ‘Cardcaptors’ the second one when it had that cool techno mix. I don’t know the name of that.

If you must know the ending themes I liked…

Outlaw Star – ‘Hiru No Tsuki’ & ‘Tsuki No Ie’
Cowboy Bebop – ‘Real Folk Blues’
Gundam Wing – Just Communication’

Can’t remember any others I really like.

The american intros of DBZ suck, no matter how you look at it…Rock that dragon for all I care.

The first japanese intro ( Cha-La-Head-Cha-La ) and the japanese GT ( Dan Dan Kokkoro Hikareteku ) intro, however, are different stories.

But my favorite intros are "Kuseki no Umi" from Rolw:Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, "To the Light" from Star Ocean EX and "Zankoku wa Tenshi no Thesis" from Evangelion.

Haha, yeah. I was about to say that I like almost every anime intro untill you mentioned DBZ. Of course I can always say that it isnt an anime, and keep saying that I like them all.

Its hard for me though, Ive been obsessed with many intros over the years. Ok it was only 2, but I watch alot of anime ok. Ill just say that the fist one was the full Gundam wing japinese vocal into, I dont know whats its called…but and right now I realy like the ghost in the shell stand alone complex song, inner universe by Yoko Kanno, who is god.

I think Outlaw Star had a good opening too, and so did Evangelion. But, for some reason I really like the opening to Nightwalker, the song is so cool.

My favorite opening is between Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy 8. Chrono Cross does a well job of poems, which are used in the beginning and FF 8 just has awesome graphics.

My favorite theme song right now is the Chobits theme, but I’m obsessed, so don’t take that too seriously.

Musically speaking, Lain’s "Duvet" is my favorite theme. I’m actually quite the BOA fan.

On a side note, the words to the japanese sailor moon theme are really pretty…

Hey I kinda liked the intro to DBZ. Sure the "Rock the Dragon" lyrics that got repeated endlessly through the song got annoying after a while, but I really enjoyed the guitar lines in the song.

FF8’s intro was also one of the best. The music was well done and so were the graphics. Truly a timeless classic in openings.

Well, I have to admit, straight from the top, my number one fav opening theme is Sakura Saku of Love Hina and it’s closing theme is pretty good as well, Kimi Sae Ireba I think it’s called. Secondly, would be Trust the opening to stage one of Vandread, and the closing theme Himegoto is good as well.

The rest of my favourites would be the themes from Guyver, Macross : Do you remember love? & Oh! My Goddess.

Obviously, the intro to Cowboy Bebop.

Although that could be because I just finished the series and it’s what’s on my mind right now. Runner up is probably the opening to Outlaw Star, simply because I like that song so much.

If FLCL had an opening, it would probably be that. It definately has the best closing credits, that’s for sure.

Well, a couple come to mind for me…

Since I’m currently watching NGE: Perfect Collection, that opening theme is the first to come to mind. Far outranking that crap that was the intro to any episode to GW or the other Gundam series.

Another of my favorites is the theme to Zone of the Enders: Idolo. I know, this anime is new and has yet to develop, but so far it looks like it’s going to be very good. If they do it right, it might even have a chance at stealing NGE’s "God of Mecha Anime" title. If they do things right, that is.

So many to pick… Im not sure. I like a lot of them but I guess right now its between Kare Kano, GTO, and I gues… Evangelion shuffs.

My favorite openings are probably Scarlet from Ayashi no Ceres and Kiseki no Umi from Record of Loddos War…..

As for endings….I don’t recall a song that I really liked…I’ll try to post them later when I remember….

My vote would most likely have to go to Evangelion. I haven’t see many Anime series, hard to find in Australia but that seemed to be quite good.

I loved the ending credits song for Serial Experiment Lain. Don’t ask why, I just do.

Samurai Pizza Cats? LOL I remember that show, it had me laughing my ass off everytime I watched it (Come to think of it, a lot of stuff I see on TV nowadays makes me laugh.). I remember the theme to it, and found it on a, now defunct, website. The ending theme was also there, so I downloaded that as well.

Some other themes I enjoyed were from Dangermouse, Cout Duckula, Bananaman, Wacky Races (Mainly because of Dick Dasterly’s sidekick, Mutley, the snickering hound.), a lot of the old Hanna Barbera cartoons, Roger Ramjet, Ulysses, Asterix, Mysterious cities of gold, Ewoks, Bucky O’Hare, Police Academy : The series, Hong Kong Phooey, Biker Mice from Mars and a whole heap of others. (Managed to find SOME of the opening and end themes for these shows and some others. Took me awhile to find them.)

Another theme I still enjoy, or I should say themes, are the opening themes to the original Transformers series (Before the Movie, and the season set after the movie. Not the Beast Wars, Beast Machines or the Armada series. I prefer the originals.).

To tell you the truth, I like Ojamajo wa koko ni iru of Ojamajo Doremi, Dreams will never die in Tales of Phantasia, Eyes on Me in Final Fantasy 8. I don’t know how many songs that I have heard.
