I look back on long nights spent chatting with you, and I sigh.
I look back on all the pain we shared, and I cry.
I look back on all the times you leaned on me… hell, I tried.
I look back on what we used to be, and I wonder when we died.

I look back on those times alone, I’m so glad you came around…
I look back on those times when I… watched tears pool on the ground…
I look back on those times so sad, when I was just so down…
I look back, and yet I am glad, that it is me you found.

I look back on the past, of dreams lost and slain…
I look back on starry nights, filled with tears and pain…
I look back on long lost hopes, my heart was a stain…
I look back on everything, and I wonder what I’ve gained.

I look now to what I have, and I’m proud that I’m so strong.
I look now to those that love me, and have, for so long.
I look now to my strength, my friends who mean no wrong.
I look now to my wings, my love, and sing this song.

We’ve come so far, fallen so hard…
but look where we are now?
We’ve tripped, stumbled, bruised our legs…
but now we’re flying… how?

The world is cold and smiles not,
yet I feel happy and so warm…
you and I together can fly,
and to us shall come no harm.

One wing can’t fly alone, and one foot can’t run.
You have to do things together, or you’ll miss out on the fun.
We try to stand alone, and try to seem so brave…
but in the end we need each other, that love we so crave.

Well I tell you now I’m standing tall, on a mountain about kings,
because there are so many people who love me, and that’s greater than anything.
And I love so many, we love we…
and that is how it shall always be.

I’m sorry if you don’t understand, I’m sorry if you’re confused…
I keep trying to help you out, I’m dropping all my clues.
I offer my hand, you bite my finger… I’m sorry, so long.
Until we can see, until we wake up, you and I are gone.
