I’ve always believed that it depends on the amount of steps you take and to which area you go and which not (Short route will mean longer time in the ice zone)
Dunno it for sure though.

I don’t think it has to with number of steps because I think you can just be standing doing nothing and if you’ve been dawdling too long, you’ll pass out. I’ve passed out before playing this one and I’m pretty sure that’s how it goes.
