yeah it works.. as one,
more won’t change it though. Equip luck plus too, it increases your chance of coming up against a rarer enemy i.e. movers / serpent/ spirals etc.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">No, I think the only materia that can lower the encounter rate is Enemy Away. So using Luck Plus to find rarer enemies would be fine, it wouldn’t lower the encounter rate again. 🙂

yeah…but ememy lure and away are based on luck, i thought luck plus would then cancel them out

Luck Plus won’t affect any other materia at all. That’s why it’s a purple materia. Purple materia are called "independant" materia. Therefore they can’t link to any others and thus, affect them. So using Luck Plus to help increase/decrease encount rate is a waste of time.
