I voted other, my favorite pair is (although different like Sonic and Tails who are a team) is Raziel and Kain from the Legacy of Kain series (Blood Omen 1 & 2 Soul Reaver 1 & 2).
The best thing is story behind all this, this is why they make my favorite pair.
