Your Favourite Platform Game / Series.

So, as the poll says, which platform gaming series (or game) did you enjoy the most? Was it Sega’s centre piece, the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the game that spearheaded the Megadrive / Genesis system? Was it Super Mario Brothers, the centre piece of Nintendo’s push into the gaming market? Or was it something else from the list (or something that my mind has failed to think of?) Also, tell me WHY you like the gaming series (or game) in question?

My favourite series was the Super Mario Brothers series. My first games console was the NES, and the first game I played on it was Super Mario Bros 3. The game, from start to finish, was fantastic. I loved every second of it, and when they re-made it for the SNES as part of the All Stars package, I had to go out and buy it again. It was the first game I played on a console, the first game I finished on a console, and one I shall remember fondly for however long I play games.

How could you leave out the almighty "Tomb Raider"???

TR is one of my most fave as well as some of the others you have there like Crash, Spyro, Sonic, DK, and Mario. You also left out Medevil which is another of my most fave. ^_^

I’m not calling you stupid either, but you forgot about MegaMan :p

Though Sonic would come in a very close second…

Super Mario Brothers was the first game I ever played, when I was like 2. O_O Games that have been going on longer than I have merit some respect in my opinion.

How could you leave out Megaman? The all time greatest platform series.

I’m kind of partial to Sonic, mainly because of the memories I have of playing it with my brother.

Without considering memories and other emotional kinds of attachments though, Mario is my favorite.

I am going for the Oddworld series, because I like the atmospere around the game. It really sets a sad mood around it and the story is really good.

Sonic Sonic SONIC!!!!!! w00tness. The general idea of platformers came from this dude. Screw mario 😛

My god… yes another MegaMan fan here, I can’t believe it isn’t up there.

Castlevania too man is pretty good though I�m more of an avid fan of Megaman X. That game rock just freakin� rocks.
