Best Game of 2002!

yea this is a little late, but i havent been here for a while

so what is it? Grand Theft Auto III or Vice City? Final Fantasy X (since europe got it this year)? i dunno what else? (been too busy to play games)

Best Game of 2002 for me? Madden 2003! Simply just awesome!

Kingdom Hearts… hands down…. amazing game truly amazing, or Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for X-Box… can’t wait ’til it comes out on PS2 for I thankfully do not own the atrocity that is the evil daemon prince microsoft’s creaton for obvious reasons, or so I like to think. But Kingdom Hearts is great.

I liked KH, Metroid Prime, and GTA:VC

The best game, hmmmz that’s a hard one. I think I’ll go for FFx or Morrowind.

BTW: Nanaki, GTA3 and Vice City are 2 different games ;).

Ummmmm, now that would be Star Fox Adventures. Yep, it just kicked ass. Zelda technology packed with Rare’s humour makes it great.

Um, I would have to go for Grand Theft Auto 3 and FFX. Enough said~ Yeah, that’s about it -_-

It’s between Kingdom Hearts and FFX. I rest my case. ^_^

For me, Morrowind.

There was no other game all year (quite literally.) I lost track of about three months of my life (but I was at home away from most of my friends anyway, so that wasn’t too important.) It hooked me in, and would not let go at all. I would find myself looking at the clock in 1 in the morning and thinking "perhaps I should go to bed now."

I can’t honestly remember another game I bought over the year.

PS2 : Kingdom Heart for its action RPG

X-Box : Halo for its enjoyable multiplayer shooting game

I would go for Super Smash Brothers Melee, Animal Crossing and FFX because it was the first on the ps2.
Also Warcraft III deserves to be mentioned.

Well, up until the end of the year, my favorite game was going to go to Vice City. However, I went out and bought Kingdom Hearts which changed everything. So, for me, the Best Game of 2002 goes to Kingdom Hearts.

PC: Warcraft II; I must say this game is just plain amazing. Blizzard tops as one of the best PC gaming companies.

XBOX: Halo; Microsoft kicks major arse, and this game will top them all until possibly Halo 2

I meant GTA3 the original wasnt released for 2002 so that wouldnt make sense, unless we can pick any game from any year ???? Was Halo released in 2002 too?

According to polls held by PSM, the #1 best-selling Playstation magazine (they even tell you that on the cover 😉 ), Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was the best game of 2002.

The Editor’s top ten of 2002 for Eletronic Gaming Monthly held only three mentions of GTA: VC out of 11 people. The most votes went to Animal Crossing and Metroid Prime, I believe, with GBA games coming in close behind.

I, quite frankly, enjoy GTA, Metroid Prime, and Animal Crossing quite congruently, but I will stretch the line and vote Prime first and GTA third.

I think this is what the Shriners think their fave game of 2002 was not what it actually was by the sales statistics.

Oh yeah, Animal Crossing does rock. Sales or not this game is addictive. I love sim games though, i hope a good Harvest Moon comes out soon.

GTA3 came out for the PS2 2 years ago (2001)… But it came out for PC in 2002…

I like to say FFX is a very good game this year (ya know, PSM missed this game on the Top 10 Games…). Plus Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 has to be the best racing game this year! I actually prefer this game over GT3 (but I liked using the RGTs, lol)… Oh well…

I don’t think Virtua Fighter 4 should have been #2 in PSM… It’s OK and all but it’s a fighting game and lotsa people burn them out in like 1-3 weeks… I think VF4 is overrated in a way…

From the games you gave me I would have to say Grand Theft Auto 3 is the best for 2002.

For PC, It would be UT2003 followed by GTA3.

Well, for starters, there is ME :p I just don’t find anything "fun" with Grand Theft Auto but then again it’s just me…

My fave of 2002 ? Hum…Hard one…Kingdom Hearts, Arc the Lad Collection,Virtua Fighter 4,Warcraft III, Suikoden III… those were all awesome in my book. I think I’d go with Kingdom Hearts as the one I had the most fun but Suikoden III as the deeper one.

I only got Final Fantasy X in January 2002 but it was "officially" released in December 2001 so…

A tie between FFX and Metriod Prime. Both games rocked my world. Also props to GTA Vice City. It was good but got boring very quick.

Fave game of last year. Hmmmm….

PC – Warcraft II, I know it’s old, but it’s still a great game; and Renegade – Battle for Jacob’s Star, an old game by SSI, but I tracked down a copy last year and it’s a good Space combat sim.

PSX – FFVIII – I admit, I addicted to FFVIII. I have the original release, platinum copy (Got last year) and the boxed set. Castlevania Chronicles – I thought it had been released here in Australia, imagine my surprise when I found a copy of it, brand new, in a mark down bin for $5.00 (AUS). Suffice to say, grab it I did.

PS2 – Shadow Hearts – I love it! A dark game, battling against enemies and the sequel to another game I have, Koudelka. Looney Tunes Space Race – It’s Looney. Escape from Monkey Island – Lucasarts, brilliance.

Those were the game I got last year, so I consider them to be my favourites of 2002. As far as GTA3 and FFX, I prefer FFX because of Auron, and Auron alone.

Well as for 2002, Devil May Cry. I love that game. But just generally best game ever? For me, it’ll always be FF7…but…as for game that came out this year…DMC…w00t. DMC r0x0rz.
