Or actually just the mako in the air as she collects the flowers to sell.
I would choose the first one, but I didn’t right the story though! Lol
The second time and all the others times I always thought it was the lifestream (and always waved to her saying; hmmm you’re gonna die soon)
Ok here we go. In the opening FMV we all see Aeris surrounded by the green thingies which are found in the lifestream. But when you defeat Sephorith and you get to see the final FMVin the end we see Aeris again in the lifestream. She has become part of it and helpen stop meteor. What you see in the begining is actually a taste of things to come (or so I believe).
I still try to see clearly what the heck that stuff is each time I play it.
Yes, it is the same FMV from the end at the beginning, i agree that it might be a sort of sample of things to come, but remember when buguhagan or whatever his name was, said that after eveything dies, it become a part of the life stream, and when a persons energy goes into something new, it retains a certain part of it’s last life, so maybe, in the beginning, it kind of shows that in her last life she was imporatnat, in this life she will be important and at the end, it gives you the idea that her next life will be important, i don’t know, that’s just always the way i looked at it.

nah… im just kiddin…..
i think that she sees lifestream a lot since she is an ancient and she just sees things but just dont care…..
i think that she is really seeing people frum midgar and their life force.. .or watever… flow into the full stream
Selling herself.
Or the scene is a dramatic forshadowing of events yet to unfold in an epic tale of friendship and loss. Ending with some profound understanding slipping by you because you do not have the same brain as the writers, and even if you did you still wouldnt understand it.
But I think she is selling flowers as a front to selling herself. The mako energy is actualy waste runoff from the shinra building giving everyone the lifespan of a goat and the temperment of a baby.
Or not.
