The launch…???

I was wondering,…

In the beginning of disk 2 where you have to stop the launch on balamb Garden(with Zell,Selphie an Quistis),can you prevent the launch by not helping the soldiers with puching the missile cube and then select the missile cube on the control board(not the one with the error setting option)?

1. You choose your party, it’s not always zell and quistis.
2. The launch is a part of the gae and cannot be stopped.

Couldn’t have put it better myself Rauru. I have to say I really hate that part of FF8 as I always screw it up and it takes forever for me to finish. Grr.. >_<

i thought that part would be great but as i got futher it was annoying but when ur wit squall its even worse more xploring and no selphie

One thing you can do, though, that most people don’t know about: Mess up very badly, choose to fight from the beginning and leave without ever touching the control panel. If you do this, it will be a game over (so make sure you have a backup save), but you also get to see a semi-secret FMV of the destruction of Balamb Garden.

Yeah, I didn’t know till a while back either. One thing: If you’re going to do it, be very careful. Don’t ever touch the control panel that controls the missiles because if you do, your characters won’t let you exit without messing around with it and you’ll lose the chance at the secret FMV. So just fight, and right when you’re leaving, Selphie should say something like "Aren’t we forgetting something?" Choose to just ignore it and leave and you’ll get the destruction FMV.

When you complete the missile part the garden becomes mobile…is it possible to get Tonberry King and Odin now ?

because i screwed something up,i trained to much in the missile base and now my level is to high to get dragon fangs(for lionhart)from the t-rexaurs…DAMN !!

No you still can get odin and tonberry. Infact I thought you had to have the garden or ragnarok to ge them?

Right, you can get them any time after the Garden becomes mobile. You might also try Adamantoises on Dollet’s Long Horn Beach, or on the island near Dollet. They sometimes drop the Dragon Fangs. Either that, or you can steal them.
