does anyone know how to get masamune? i know it isn’t a real sword, but i want to get everything.

I think you can get Masamune Blade at the Speed Square in Gold Saucer…
This weapon CANNOT be used by ANY character!!
It’s a useless item!

if its a useless weapon, then how come its in the game?

It ISN’T a ‘weopon’ it is an item. There are many items in final fantasy that are useless.

Lesse, Tissues, Super Sweeper, 1/35 soldier. Matter of fact, all things from the speed square are useless. Jest don’t bother.

No, Kie, you’re wrong!! Not all things you can get in Speed Square are useless!! Remember you can get Umbrella(weapon for Aeris) in the first CD and Flayer (weapon fro Cid that’s even more powerful than Venus Gospel itself) in the second CD if you get more than 5000 points in this game…
You can’t consider this two weapons useless….

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">The Umbrella may be the most powerful weapon Aeris has, but it has no materia slots. Early on in the game at least, I like to have as many materia slots as possible.

As for the Flayer, that may have a higher attack stat than the Venus Gospel, but it doesn’t get a power-up. The Venus Gospel will cause lots more damage when Cid’s maximum MP is high, and his current MP is as high as possible too. Therefore, the Venus Gospel is still better. 😉

However, I do still like to get both of those weapons myself, just tog et as many items as possible I suppose. 😉

Well, they’re bordering on useless, what’s the point of using them if one has no growth and the other has no slots :P.

Kie you said that tissues are useless, this is not true. Tissues make the battles in the battle square harder, the mroe you have, the harder the fights.

Masamune can be used by Cloud though. He’s a character.

Not true. Masamune is Sephiroth’s sword. The only way you can get it is if you hack it into the game somehow, in which case, the icon for it shows up as if it were one of Vincent’s guns.

You can get Yoshiyuki for Cloud from the old geezer in Rocket Town on the first disc. Not the Masamune.

You can only get the Masamune Blade which is an exact replica of the real one. Cloud finds Mursame (I think thats how you spell it) in Yuffies home town. The only way to get the Masamune is to use a Item Modifier GameShark Cheat to get it, even though its usless still, even if you use the code to put Sephiroth in your party he comes with it equiped so you are stuck with a Weapon you cannot use at all in your inventory.
