Another Stupid Thing…

When i went to saucer to get my final attack materia, Even after I bought Omini S and W Summon and had 64 000 BP she still dident offer me the boss option battle thing. Anyone know why???

Uh..not that I think you’re stupid or dumb or anything but..are you sure you counted right? Because otherwise, I really wouldn’t know..o_O A glitch in the disc, maybe…@.@;;

***DISK 2 SPOILERS.***

May seem like a dumb question, but are you on Disk 3? The final battle in the Square is against Proud Clod, and as you don’t fight the actual boss himself until the end of Disk 2, it probably means that you can’t access the special battle. I can’t think of any other reason than that…

Yes I am on disk 3, all I have to do is go into the crater and kill sephiroth. Im just lvling right now and doing all the side quests.

maybe you have to use cloud…. i dunno, i’m just making ideas up…..

For the record, the special battle is also available on Disc 2. I’ve done it before. If you do it on Disc 2, you can actually beat the Proud Clod in the battle arena before beating him in Midgar. (Wacky, huh?)

As for the problem: weird. I don’t know. Is Omnislash enabled on Cloud? I’m pretty sure you have to enable it on Cloud before you can do the special battle and I think that you have to have it set as his current limit too, but I’m not sure on that one. Oh, and you shouldn’t need 64,000 BP. The special battle should be available any time after you have those two, regardless of how much BP you have. Otherwise, I don’t understand. Your game is wacky.

Edited to respond to Vivi: Cloud is the only person who can participate in the special battle, but he’s always in your party, so that couldn’t be the problem.

This also may be a dumb question, but have you tried re-entering it after you attained the items, cuase that could be a problem for it happened to me as well, I’m not sure what else could be wrong. Just keep trying at it and read what the chick behind the counter says, I’ve overlooked it before by pressing the buttons quickly to skip the boring dialog. let me know what happens…

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">To get into the special battle, you not only need W-Summon and Omnislash, but you need Cloud to have the Ultima Weapon aswell. To get this, you have to defeat the Ultimate Weapon that’s found flying around the world. It’s first found over a crater neat Fort Condor, and then it begins flying around the world. Ram it 5 times and it will stop at a nearby town. You need to do about 100,000 damage to it around the world, then it should go to Cosmo Canyon. From there you can finally kill it, and recieve the Ultima Weapon. Equip this, and also make sure you have Omnislash and W-Summon on (I’m not certain if you have to have them on, but it’s best to anyway :)).
