It�s going to be a straight up RPG like FF10 I hear without any online capabilities, actually rumor has it that Squaresoft is planning to release FF12 to the states rather than release FF11 since they�re having problems with cost for the online plans. So basically Square skips FF11 and we get FF12 instead. But that�s just editorial rumors who knows what may really transpire.
