I was recently doing the Gold Chocobo thing (curse the longness) when I noticed that in S-Class they have 168+ speed. My lowly wonderful chocobo has 117 (I used the w-item glitch to feed it 98 of the highest price green at Chocobo Sages) I was wondering what YOU feed your Chocobos. And how do you get them to go that fast?

The reason I ask this is that my friend told me you need to use a combination.. I’m specifically looking for the best combination of greens to give it

Ok, ok, I found the answer for my question. I shall post the answer here with a small explination of it.

Green Price (Gil) +Speed +Intellect +Stamina
^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^
Gysahl 100 No No Yes
Krakka 250 No Yes No
Tantal 400 Yes Yes Yes
Pahsana 800 No Yes No
Curiel 1000 Yes No Yes
Mimett 1500 Yes No Yes
Reagan 3000 ??? ??? ???
Sylkis 5000 Yes Yes Yes

Think of it this way, the more yes you get, the less each stat is increased. Where two parts are equal, go up in cost to find the better.

Thanks. ^_~

I personally never feed my chocobos anything but Sylkis. I just feed it them until it says "No Improvement" when I try to feed them anymore.

Wow, 4 posts in a row. You double posted twice and triple posted one and a third times. That’s a rule breaker XD. Ahhh, to be a mod at a time like this would be great…

On topic…i feed mah chocobos Reagen Greens and Mimmett greens individually so they get each part up better. Works for me, i recommend you race gold or black chocobos in the S class though, much easier.

I only feed my chocobo’s sylkis greens and I breed 2 gold chocobo’s with a zeio nut to get an even better gold chocobo. Then I feed some more sylkis greens.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">I always feed my chocobos Sylkis Greens. I don’t even normally use the W-Item glitch to make more of them either, that takes too long. I but 99 at a time after selling All materias for 1.4 million gil each. 😀 As for feeding them, each chocobo only needs about 50 Sylkis Greens to fully develop its stats. I’ve heard that feeding it 2-3 greens at a time helps improve the stats better, but I’ve not tried this myself…

And for racing chocobos, Gold, Black or even Green chocobos are the best (although green ones may be too slow). The reason is, on the short course in the windy area at the end, yellow and blue chocobos (aswell as all the opponents except Teioh) all slow down; but Green, Black and Gold ones actually speed up. Even if your chocobo is slower than the opponents, you can still outsprint them at the end section. 😀

Hmm what does it matter that you use some cheaper?? Just use the item duplicate bug. And I believe that sylkis is the best green to feed a Chocobo.

If it’s of any help, every chocobo breeding guide I’ve ever looked at says to feed ’em Sylkis.
