Why doesn’t Rinoa use her powers off the field?

Rinoa has adel’s AND edea’s powers inside of her, why don’t she use them off the battlefield? she could like, teach the students defense against the dark arts or somethin!

I guess it’s just one of those gaming things that can’t really b explained. For example, when members of ur party die n the story-line, u can’t just use a phoenix (fenix) down on them or whatever and revive them.

Hmmm. That one is sort of explainable. I think it’s just that there are some things that a Phoenix Down just can’t heal.

For example, when Galuf died in FF5, he wasn’t just at 0 HP or whatever, he took a real beating and his "life force" was completely used up.

The game would just be too easy if they were able to do that.

Rinoa does use her new powers in battle. Have you noticed that she now has two limit breaks? In addition to the one involving Angelo, she now has one where she becomes an angel and starts casting random spells without wasting the spells in her inventory.

He asked why she doesn’t use her powers off the field to teach students.

Oh. Well, you can’t teach someone to be a sorceress, can you? You have to be given the power by another sorceress.

Defense against the Dark Arts? You’re thinking like Harry Potter now.

That sounds too confusing there. Anyways, it’s one of those unexplainable things I guess. As some people said, it’d be too easy.

It’s just part of the story, just like when Aeris died in FFVII they di’dn’t revive her with a phoenix down cuz she was dead for real as part of the story.

It’s apart of the story, and anyways, she was afraid to use her powers because she might’ve been possessed by Ultimecia again, and who knows what would’ve happened. You said about teaching kids? What if Rinoa was possessed then? She could’ve killed them all! XD I don’t think anyone would’ve wanted *that* to happen, right? ;p

But they killed ultemecia, so who would possess her? And, that’s true, she is afraid of them…

True, they did defeat her…but you don’t get to see what happens afterwards. For all we know, she could use her powers now…but I doubt that. She seems like she’d be too afraid to. (Hate to admit that, since I do love Rinoa) There’s just something always happening to the damsel in distress.

Well, if we’re talking about after the story, then I suppose it’s possible that she could. But as has been said, we really don’t know too much of what happens after the story and I was under the impression we were talking about during.
