RuneScape

Welcome.This thread is about the online MultiPlayer game called RuneScape.I put this up to see who else had the game and to share it with others.RuneScape reminds me of a cheap version of EverQuest becuase you can only acess it online.It’s graphics are ok and there really isn’t a story line.It’s still fun though and very challenging.My name is Ketal(all my games and things have heros woth the name Ketal in it:D )so look me up if you have it.If you don’t,goto the wesite via the link below and download the Free version.If you want,become a member but it costs 5 bucks.I got the free so it doesn’t matter.Cya on the game!

i’ve never seen this game…how is like like everquest? we canadians…heh

Well first off,it’s internet playable only.Secondly you do quests,use spell etc.It’s graphics aren’t the best but the makers have done a very good job on it.:D

but no story? hmmnm…i like games with lots of custimization:D

I do too.Thats what makes the game kinda suck.But hey,how many online games with graphics better or equall to this can you find?ALl you basiclly do is solve all the quests and well,cuase mischief!!!HAHAHAHAHA!Sorry….If you think about it though,by doing the quests,you are making the story line:cool: ….

*Tip*

I found out how to change the color of the text on RuneScape!If you already read the directions,you would know all you have to do to talk is to type it in and press enter.Well to change the color,first press shift+2.When you let go you should get an @ sign.Now type in the first 3 letters of the color you want exaple Blue would be Blu.After that press Shift+2 again and the little * should turn into the color you wanted!

@Yel@ = Yellow(this really has no point since the defualt color is yellow)
@Bla@ = Black
@Gre@ = Green

I tried Runescape but I really don’t like it very much. I can’t really tell y but to me the game sux.

I do play a lot of Ragnarok Onlie which is the same idea but I seem to like it alot better.

I suppse, where would i find this game?

U can find Ragnarok Online @ http://www.ragnarokonline.com. Take note that u 1st have to donwload aprox. 320mb.

I never liked RS. The graphics suck, the quests are harder then hell to figure out and it’s too easy to die if you’re new. Plus with 400+ people running around at one time it gets annoying.

Oh cmon people,its not that bad..and the quests aren’t hard,they are infact quite easy.I put in at least an hour everyday and Im doing pretty good!Just find a walkthrough….it helps!

Dude I jus started playing this game the other day! It is soooo cool, I didnt really like it at first but know I cant stop playing!

Ok man,I’ll add you to my list!Ya it is really addicting…The only thing I don’t like about it is the lag…but then again,I’m in Missouri and the servers are on the East Coast so what can I do?

Big new on Runescape!Coming soon,the old 2d pictures of monsters and geros will be replaced by 3D polygonal images!This will make a big difference in the Runescape world.

So I have heard but still that wont make me play it. It is very annoying if you are just starting becouse you keep running into high levels and if they feel like it, they kill you. Further more I dont really like the gameplay much, if you want good items you either must have good friends that are willing to give some or be very lucky or give up living the next 6 months.

Well yes you have a point there.But you have to think,it’s like Diablo.You either have to work for it or get it form a friend.Just recently(today at 8:00 AM Central)the servers went down.When they come back up,I dicovered new things.

1: For the first time,the makers of Runscape have made a traning session where you go to different rooms on an island and these automated people give you essenstials and tell you how to use them(*Note*This makes me very mad considering I started with jack and they get everything from a bronze sword to a fishing net!)

2: You can now check peoples levels so you don’t have to ask them anymore

Thats all I found out now.Besides the new graphics which are coming soon,this game is getting better and better!

Well I have played alot of Diablo2: LoD and yes I agree you must be lucky to get good items but thats not just it. The gameplay of Diablo2 is just more solid then Runescape’s. Ok the grahpics arent the best but when you go compare Runescape to Ragnarok online then I am happy to download 320mb 1st. More overall this game as well apeals more to me. It is fun to create a very good character. Till you are a certain lvl you cant choose your class. See it as a tutorial for your char and the ability to predefine your character. I recently tried Runescape again to maybe just get into it but I just dont. For some reason I just dont like it.

Well thats ok…That graphics should get better and thats a plus:) but i don’t know about the rest…
