Most ludicrous plot, ever

im not setting this up as a poll, too many unknown variables. :p

my vote for most ludicrous plot is Metal Gear Solid 2. i completed it the first time, and i was like "eh?". did it again to make certain bits make sense. the plot writer must have one heck of an imagination.

so, what game do you choose for most ludicrous plot?

My vote would have to go with Final Fantasy X.I’m not saying it sucked(I loved the cinema and graphics and other things!)but the plot did!I really couldn’t understand all of it.The ending really sucked too!That made me mad to see the ending like that.I thought Tidus(or whoever you named him)would be able to go back home or something….

Man, I couldn’t agree more…FFX was good for the graphics, Lulu, Auron and nothing more…oh, and maybe Wakka, he was cool. But the plot sucked like a fucking whore. Honest to god, Square should get back to doing those FF 7, 8, and 9 remakes. 7 atleast.

Dumb games that are always made out of celebrities and movies….like Marykate and Ashley, or Harry Potter….dumbest. plots. ever.

THere are probably worse plots (yeah right), but I can’t think of any at the moment..

This sounds an awful lot like you’re admitting to having played the Mary Kate and Ashley game. :eye:

I liked FFX but the very last scene, after the credits, confused the heck out of me.

It could not possibly have been more cliched. Look at the characters: A teenage boy wandering the world who suddenly finds out that his dad was some great warrior, a princess, a guy with amnesia who turns out to be from another planet (and who was a great warrior who fought alongside the main character’s father!), a pirate who talks like a cartoon pirate (!@#$ the translators for ruining an otherwise cool character) turns out to be the princess’s sister (maybe not a cliche but how many people didn’t see that coming?) and a little girl who serves absolutely no purpose to the story except to be "kawaii."

Fortunately, the gameplay more than makes up for all that.

More over the point, these games look like they were made by 2 year olds, and if I’m not mistaken, they are….hahaha..I mean geeze, the people look so shi-…..bad…it’s an eyesore. I can’t even stand using the discs as a frisbee….I can’t stand these games….

Luigi’s Mansion had a stupid plot. Great game nonetheless.

Gotta be Syphon Filter. I donno what was goin on with that.

FF8 had a wierd plot. With flying schools and monsters falling from the moon and sorceresses and their "knights."

FF7 had a cool plot up to the very end where they fucked up the story rushing the game. Aeris was supposed to be revived, dammit!
