*wonders why he didn’t make this thread ages ago*

Great Teacher Onizuka, an anime about a bad boy trying to become
THE GREATEST TEACHER IN THE WORLD!!! …or was it Japan?? Hmm…I can’t seem to remember…

Well, that’s basically what it’s about in the beginning. Trust me, the story DOES get deeper ^_~

So, anything GTO goes here, kay? XD

Tohru Fujisawa does a great job with art. I love the art. It’s a very unique style. Eikichi Onizuka just makes me roll on the floor laughing. No really, like side splitting hilarity. It’s interesting to see how he develops throughout the whole series.

BTW, the last episode of GTO was the highest rated T.V. show in Japan’s history. ^_~

I read the manga and it’s very funny and entertaining ^__^

The funniest part for me is when Onizuka try to drive his truck very wildly to the school and make all police to chase him.

The funniest part for me was in the latter episodes where those three girls beat on that kid in his class..

And how Onizuka deals with it is hilarious! Man, hand on a stick.. GENIUS!!

I’ve been wanting to see this anime and I heard it was good, but everytime I go to the store I always see another anime I want to see.

My fiancee and I have been wanting to see GTO for the longest time, and soon we’ll be getting DVD-R’s of the whole series from my fiancee’s friend. It seems to be very promising.

As for the manga, i’ve read vol. 1. Not too bad. ^^

BTW, the last episode of GTO was the highest rated T.V. show in Japan’s history.

Seems kind of silly. Live action or animation? Maybe highest drama rating would make some sense=\

Now that I have GTO, I must say its freakin great! I’ve finished nearly 2 DVD’s so far and each episode has kept me laughing with the things Onizuka does.

And I must say that GTO is better as an anime than a manga. 😉

I’ve only read the manga so far, but for me the funniest bit is when they go on the trip to Okinawa. So many hilarous things happen there.
