Doom train ?

I read on a site that you need 6 steel pipes,but some FF8 gamer on school sais that you need 10 elixers…:confused:
Can someone who has Doom train tell me…so that i can be 100% sure.

No u need six steel pipes I’ve done it sometimes and u realy need the pipes.

Are the steel pipes all you need or are there items you need that you didn’t know off ?

you need six steel pipes, six malboro tentacles and six remedy pluses. Steel pipes are stolen from some enemy (don’t remember), six remedy pluses are made from six remedies using the "Med lvl-up" ability, and six malboro tentacles are stolen from malboros. (Or, if you’re obsessive about TT, get 24 malboro cards and mod them).

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">And you also need the Solomon’s Ring. 😉 That is found in the last screen in Tears Point, near Esthar.

You can mug Steel Pipes from Wendigos, found in the forest near Dollet, and the muddy area near Deling City. You can also refine them from Elastoid cards.

To get a Remedy+, you need to learn Alexander’s ability Med Lvl Up. Before you can learn that, you will have to learn Med Data first. 10 Remedies will refine into 1 Remedy+, so you need 60 Remedies in total. You can buy them from any item shop. 🙂

For the Malboro Tentacles, one Malboro can drop 8 tentacles after battle if you don’t mug, so that would be enough. To beat a Malboro, you can either go into the battle and hope Odin comes; or junction 100 Pains, Confuses, Berserks and Sleeps to someone’s status defence so that htey can heal everyone after Bad Breath is used and then attack with limit breaks; or give Quistis the Initative command and critical HP, and use Degenerator straight away.

Once you have all the items, just use the Solomon’s Ring in the menu and Doomtrain will be yours. 🙂

Well…there’s always the lazy option…for people like me…you could always wait (that’s the bad part) and draw it from one of the guardians in Ultimecia’s castle, right?

I think he’s one of the ones you can draw, yeah. I’d have to check to be certain though.

BTW- glad we could be of help. Oh, and make sure to tell your friend that whatever site "10 Elixirs" came from is bogus. 😀

O_o You can still get to Tears’ Point on disc 4, and you can still get all the items needed to get Doomtrain then aswell, so you can only get it from the field. The only GF’s you can get in Ultimecia’s Castle are ones you may have missed through the game that you can no longer get.

That is Siren, Carbuncle, Leviathan, Pandemona, Alexander and Eden (drawable ones, although you could still get Eden from Ultima Weapon on disc 4…), and Cerberus as you wouldn’t be able to get that from Galbadia Garden after disc 2. All other GF’s can still be obtained in the normal way on disc 4, so can’t be drawn in the castle. 🙂

That’s right…my fault, my fault…sorry if I confused anyone! I just don’t remember me doing any of that work to get him…*shrugs* Thanks though.
