– FFVI has too many playable characters
Yeah, yeah, I know, some people like that there are a lot of characters to play in FFV. But think about it. Because there are so many, you really don’t get to know them too well, whereas in FFV with only five, you really get to know them a lot better.
– FFVI’s Ending
Overall, I thought it really blew. It was the least emotionally involving of any FF game I’ve played so far. FFV’s was way better, in fact FFV even has multiple endings.
FF3/6 had a great story n my eyes. I really loved the characters, and I thought the character development was good. A few characters’ lives were only revealed through secret things, SPOILER(kinda) i.e. Shadow’s past by using inns. I also really loved the villain and his cheesy puns!
Kefka: "Wait he says. Do I look like a waiter?"
Another kEwL thing was the freedom the game gave u in the world of ruin. And yeah, as u could probably guess by my ranting and raving, that was my fave FF, perhaps even my fave game.
Kefka: "Wait he says. Do I look like a waiter?"
I’ll agree, that was one aspect of the game that was better. Kefka was a much cooler villain than Exdeath was. Although personally, I thought Exdeath was more hateable since he went and killed one of your major characters.
Kefka: "You all sound like chapters out of a bad help book."
"Hopes, dreams, life. Where did they come from and where are they headed? These things I shall destroy."
and I think it was pretty cool!So FFVI has to be better!
Final Fantasy VI did have a lot of playable characters, but all of them were interesting. And they all had a reason to be in the game. The ending was… well, I didn’t get it. But the actual game handled better and looked better than Final Fantasy V.

Uh, no. The characters in FFVI are much more developed than the characters in FFV. Personally, I didn’t really feel anything for Butz… maybe Faris, but I really couldn’t understand the other characters. In FFVI, you have all these great characters. Locke, Celes, Terra, Edgar, Sabin, Cyan, Setzer, Gau, etc. All of these characters have such emotional stories behind them. You don’t get to know them too well? I beg to differ. XD

Least emotional? Did you even watch the ending?-_- I thought it was awesome. It was not the least emotional. It’s okay if you think FFV has a better ending, but give FFVI a little credit. The reason I like FFVI is because it is emotional.
FFV’s was way better, in fact FFV even has multiple endings.
I guess it’s your opinion if you think FFV’s ending was better… but what the!? FFVI has multiple endings too! I’m guessing you probably beat the game with only Celes, Edgar, Sabin, and Setzer? Anyway, you only saw one of the endings. Get more characters back. The more characters you have, the better the ending.
Yes, I think FFVI is way better than FFV. FFV was a little boring for me, even with the job system. The job system is one of the best, and most fun battle systems, but it still can’t compare to FFVI’s plot.
So, if it came between, them, I’d say that VI is the better of the two defeinetly. I don’t agree with those who say FFV was the worst FF game ever though (that dubious honour goes to FF X, urk!).
Today’s Classic FF Quote:
"I’m a farmer." A farmer, stating the blatingly obvious, and demmonstrating just how banal the dialogue really was, FFI.
Personally, I didn’t really feel anything for Butz… maybe Faris, but I really couldn’t understand the other characters.
Really? I kind of got to like Cara (Kururu.) She seemed to have a unique and interesting connection with the moogles and the chocobos.
Anyway, you only saw one of the endings. Get more characters back. The more characters you have, the better the ending.
I’ll sort of give you this. Yes, I got all of the optional characters and yes, each character gets their own little bit if get them back. But I don’t think this can really be considered "multiple endings" in the same way FF5’s was.
Oh, and I’ll say that playing it again, I do have a somewhat better appreciation for VI than I did before.
And about the jobs system, yeah, definitely a good system. One thing I actually didn’t like about that though was I never really found the need to level my characters up in FFV beyond around the mid-40s, since battle enhancement really comes from getting the different abilities anyway.

Hee! I haven’t played it, but I’ve been hearing all sorts of stuff about it. Some really like it (I’ve seen an A+ review) and then some just really dislike it.
