heres my problem
ok i already went into the area were the oilboyles are in the balamb md and theres no way out accept to fight the oilboyles the only spells i have are scan and cure. the only fire thing i have is ifrit and there no way i can get more fire. Anyone have any idea on what i can do ?

Hmm… I think you can still do this. Check if your GF’s have learnt the Boost ability, and some of teh SumMag abilities. If not, set your GF’s to learn Boost and keep fighting in the MD level until it is learnt; it only takes 10AP to learn. The go to fight the Oilboyles. Summon Quezacotl, Shiva, and most importantly, Ifrit. During the summoning sequence hold down Select and repeatedly press the Square button when the finger is there, and stop when an X appears over the finger. (If you’re playing the PC version, you’ll have to find the equivelant buttons, I don’t know what they are sorry. :p) This should be enough to finish off the Oilboyles, if you get everyone to summon immediately. If not, just keep summoning. Concentrate on summoning, even if someone appears to be low on HP; remember that GF’s take damage for the character that is summoning them. I’m sure you can do it if you just keep attacking. 🙂
Restart the whole game and be better prepared if you want to Ace it easily and make your FF8 run also more easier, unless you like a challenge and such. Then I suggest you follow Meltigami’s advice but if not, restart… you’ll get the change for more leveling up and more magic attacks as well.
