Little things… (please respond asap)

ok, ok…
what gets me are these things:
-how do i reach that one item in the cabinet upstairs, in the inn at kalm town???
-what’s with that locked treasure chest upstairs, in that house with the old man and his dog in kalm town???
-what’s behind the door that the dog is guarding, immediately after the elevator in junon???
(i think that’s about it for now…)

the first two questions are simple, u cant get them, because u need to kill the two weapons (ruby, and Emerald), than he will give them to u, and they are a gold chocobo (u need to beat ruby for this one), and a magic, command, and summon master materias, (u need to beat emerald for that). i dont know about the dos in junon.

-it pisses me off (slightly) that they make a door (a guarded one at that) and there’s no meaning to it…

what dog? after the elevator you are either in town or in the room right before you go onto the main street. the only dog i ever remembered was when you were travelling to the underwater base and i think you can lure him away if you have the right members or something (haven’t played the game in a while yet i post anyway 😀 )

Yes, you can get it. Just keep trying it a few times and you’ll eventually get the item (a megaelixir)

U forgot to mention that u can trade a Guide Book as well, then u’ll get the underwater matria which eliminates the time limit when u wanna fight Emerald. U can get this just before u enter the elevator to get to the Junon underwater reactor, just look for a Ghost Ship (rarely apears) and then morph him and presto: u’ll have a Guide Book.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">1. Try to get the item 5 times. Cloud will get mad and kick the cupboard, and the item (a Megalixir) will fall out into his hands.

2. I think this has been pretty much explained by everyone else. There is one treasure chest in Kalm that can’t be opened at all; and the dog in the other house does nothing in particular.

3. The dog in Junon is guarding the path to the submarine docks. It will only be gone from about halfway through disc 2 onwards, if you do one thing. If you don’t complete the submarine mission successfully (and I don’t see how it’s possible to lose, the red submarine is right in front of you when you start, and you only have to destroy that one to win… :uh?: ), but if you don’t complete the mission, the dog won’t be there, so you can get a submarine from there later on. I think you actually get the red submarine, although I’m not sure. But you won’t be able to get the Huge Materia from there.

Yes thats right – keep opening the cupboard and it falls out. The dog is only there at your point in the game, it will be gone at the later stages in the game if you fail the submarine quest

You aren’t a mod, so you won’t be able to close this. I wouldn’t worry about it, a question’s been answered but it’s not spam, so no need to close.

Also, I learned 2 very new things about this game from reading this thread…. never knew about either, I knew about the chest that couldn’t be opened but not about the others, VERY good questions!!

I found somthing else out that’s pretty cool.

In the Shinra building In the gym hope sombody knows where I’m talking about, well back to my point once you kick the soda machine and talk to the lady at the counter she will say this"Fell free to use any of the machines" then you go over too the tread mills and you can get on one of them and hold X to run Cloud will say "Whew, maybe I should get quit or/ Just a little bit longer, after you say just a little bit longer around 5 or 6 times Cloud will get off and say "Hey, I fell like I’ve lost a few pounds!" And well that’s all it wasn’t anything really important but I never knew about it until I tried getting on one of them.

heh I never knew about these either.. well apart from the dog which is part of the game *makes a note to try the treadmill next time through the game*
