IN BREATH OF FIRE 4 HOW DO U FIND CRAYS MOTHER
it says head east tll u reach the big rock the go north east
but i just end up in some stupid shrine do u have to do some thing HELP PLEASE.

Ah, I remember having the same problem, i wrote down how to find her, because it was just so damn annoying, that I didn’t want to go through it all again, the next time I played it.
I can’t find the paper right now, but I will look for it tomorrow, if no one else has replied with the "answer" (I know I still have the paper lying around somewhere……….now where is it…..hmmm)

Found something at gamefaqs that you might be able to use:

"When you get on the plains you will automatically be facing east. So just go
strait. You will eventually come upon a large rock. (If you encounter 3 rocks
you went the wrong way). When you find the large rock go northeast. To go
northeast you will gave to make the red part of the needle face to the upper
left. If you trail off the screen and land in an empty place you took the
wrong direction. If you land in some sort of a shrine then you also took the
wrong direction. If you see some smoke (NOT MOUNTAIN SMOKE!) Actual smoke on
the screen then you are going in the right direction. You will eventually
start to make out the camp"
