I didn’t find it that hard to get S rank but I wasnt sure how I did it. Is it based on the amount of chests you open, the items you have, chocobo treasures or a mixture of stuff?
..perhaps others know more about this.

Yeah, you get down to D rank, just by doing the whole chocobo quest and you can get to S by getting the rarest items and opening all treasure chests (nearly). Beat Hades and you’ll easily get to S rank with his kewl stuff.
