Ok, here’s a question. Keep my PS2 and all it’s games, or sell it (Along with it’s games) and use the money to get a gamecube. If I could have both it’d be great, but unfortunately I can’t. So, PS2, or Gamecube?

I’m not really a console person, PC rules (Although, i do have a DC), but I’d say Gamecube.
First, I would have said PS2, because of the FF series. But then I realised that Nintendo have made an agreement with Square to release future FF games for the GB.
So I’d say gamecube. 😀

I would say keep the Ps2 since much of the games for gamecube are for kids, whereas the PS2 is more for teenagers and older. Well here it’s like that.:uh?:

I’d say PS2 over GC. The PS2 already has a decent number of killer games from all different genres, with plenty more to follow.

It just depends on what you want outta your system. Do you want classic franchises, expecially platformers? Or are you more into fighters, RPGs, and original series’ and games?

Sorry people, but I would say sell sell sell! The games on the PS2 are all so cr*p looking, plus there’s hardly any of them! Please nobody go on about "Mullet" Gear Solid…

Plus, PS2 looks like a 70’s toaster…

Keep ur PS2. It’s much better and has much better games, besides, GC is only $200. Get an extra job or sumthin. You’ll only need one check and then u can quit.

"Mullet" Gear Solid X for Xbox =P

Anyways, Square is still owned by Sony… about 60-80 percent of Squaresoft belongs to them, the other can do whatever the heck they want.

Lets see… Gamecube has an advantage to the PS2… but with the content and all… Most of them are fun but tend to die out fast. Gamecube doesn’t really have an RPG right now (not sure about that as I don’t really read Nintendo stuff).

I say hold off in selling them cause you just might regret it…. and you can’t go back to that stage without spending more money.

Yeah dude, I know PS2’s have DVD players built into them; and no, Gamecube’s do not have a DVD function.

Most of them are fun but tend to die out fast.

True, I remember that happening with the majority of my N64 games. Except Zelda of course =P .

Actually, there is a Japanese GC system made by Panasonic that can play DVD’s, but it’s a shit load of money (like $500). It’d probably be cheaper just to buy a stand alone player and an American GC.

Yup, a friend of mine has one (except this one is modded, so he can play Japanese GC games).

It’s called the GameQube (or the Q), a really slick system. I kinda looks like a weird hightech treasure chest. It can play DVDs and play Gamecube games like a real Gamecube. It’s an offical Nintendo product so it won’t really break after being used a lot.

I know where to get one for 4 hundred dollars (modded), I find this to be better than buying a regular Gamecube if your an import fan. You won’t have to buy 2 Gamecubes and a DVD player (added up, it would be around 600-700 bucks.) It’s a good deal, but if you already have a DVD player or a PS2 and don’t really wanna import games, stick with the US.
