1.) X-BOX
2.) GameCube (yes it’s better than PS2)
3.) PS2
4.) Dreamcast
Why don’t people understand?
The US was very lucky with the Dreamcast. So many games that would have been import only on the PS or N64 or anything else.
everyone thank Capcom.
Anyway, the only gripes I have with the PS2 hardware are the jaggies. Just look at VF4. The jaggies are terrible, (even though the actualy game is amazing) especially on a high end TV, like a Sony Wega.
In some respects, the Dreamcast hardware is actually superior to the PS2 hardware. I’m no pro when it comes to the technical stuff, but I remember seing a link somewhere explaining it.

SNES is superior to some modern systems in some respects as well. It can handle high(er) color transparencies while in an 8-bit color screen mode. Newer systems would switch to a high color mode.
how? I don’t know. clever means I imagine.
There are games on the Dreamcast that I would like to play (Grandia 2, Shenmue 1 and 2, Phantasy Star Online, Etc.) There are games on the Playstation 2 I would like to play (well, at the moment, only Metal Gear Solid 2, GTA 3 and Final Fantasy X.) The Gamecube isn’t in the UK here yet, and the X-Box is Microsoft. (I’m biased about Microsoft, especially after trying to install Windows NT today.)
If consoles were judged on the quality of games, the Dreamcast would still be out. There are plenty of quality titles out there, but people don’t seem to be willing to believe in the system after the Saturn. I shall wait for Final Fantasy X to be released here, and then buy my next gen console accordingly.
QED.
1. PS2
2. X-box
3. Dreamcast
4. Gamecube
1. PS2
2. Gamecube
3. Xbox
4. Dreamcast
Anyways, I say it doesn’t matter about hardware, it’s the games that count. If a system has the best hardware possible in the world and they have only 2 games: Teletubbies and Barney (shudders) then that will obviously be worse then a system with the worst hardware possible but they have 1000 games and 700 of them are really really good!!!
So you see, it doesn’t matter (song!!!:)) what system is stronger or has better graphics or has a better hardware, it’s the games that count because you can’t just play with a PS2 or anything… actually you could but that’s kinda sick…
If we’re talking about games then it’s:
1. PS2
2. Gamecube
3. Xbox
4. Dreamcast
I agree with that order.
GameCube rocks all. The PS2 would be nothing without FF or GTA.
GC is good but it doesn’t have many games out. On top of that there really isn’t any really good games out. I can say the same thing about GC as you dis about PS2. GC would be nothing without Mario and Zelda.
PS2 has the worst hardware out of the new generation systems? why is x-box bashed so much to? It has the best hardware you know. This is the rankings in the consoles power…
1.) X-BOX
2.) GameCube (yes it’s better than PS2)
3.) PS2
4.) Dreamcast
Why don’t people understand?
its not the hardware that counts its the dam games get it in your head…all other systems have crappy games cept ps2..
the GC uses his best and PS2 mostly.
But dont forget that having fun is the meaning.good graphics isn’t always good…
Yes, I know PS2 has the worst hardware. Gamecube at least has an ATi, but there aren’t really good games that I want right now. (Hurry up metroid prime). PS2 games are just fun to play. 😀
What’s a ATi
