How did you beat Diobos?

Here’s what I do. And let me assure you, it works every time.

Use Laguna, Kiros and Ward in the dream world. Before you open it, make sure you’re fully healed and junctioned. Junction SOMEONE with the draw ability, or this will not work. When you’re in the battle against Diablos, draw Demi from him. Use it on him, and it does quite a lot of damage. He’ll then heal each member about 3000 HP. It only works once though. Then you must leave it up to GF’s and Magic..not to mention limit breaks and attacks.

No, that’s not true. You can do it more than once. Okay, here’s how it works.

Okay, first, you have to choose one character and make sure that they have a really high magic score. Otherwise, they’re going to totally suck at drawing Demi and they might even just fail. So do whatever you need to get them up to the highest magic possible. Then, draw Demi from Diablos, do not use the "Cast" option or he will not heal you. Then start using Demi with that character on Diablos by casting it from Magic. If I remember correctly, he heals you using Curaga each time you do it. Just keep doing it on him and healing other characters as needed until it doesn’t really seem like it’s doing much of anything on him anymore. Then just hit him hard with other attacks until he’s toast.

Oh, my bad. I guess my people weren’t at a high enough drawing level. ::Shrugs::

keep drawing and casting Demi, while the others do the same or use GFs.

i used the magic lamp as soon as i got it, and drew demi. then i cast it on him.

and thats all i did. maybe i was just lucky

eR, I used the magic lamp and started all out wailing on him with Phys. Att and Limits (if you have good luck which is kinda hard early in the game just hit the triangle button and you’ll get a luck limit, it happens alot even at high HP limits its awesome!) and then I hit him with a demi or 2 (takes out 1/3 of enimes health) and then continued wailin with Phys. and GF.

I used the magic lamp when I left the forest just before Balamb Garden and I managed to deafeat Diablos. The next time I played FF8 I really had a hard time with him so I made sure some body had the restore abily to instantly heal somebody and I had Rinoa who did her limit Invincible Moon so I was kinda lucky the 2nd time.

i finally beat Diablos at the end of the 1rst disk. I didnt understand untill i used demi.

Hey agent0042 has the right Idea all you need is your Junctions and draw and magic… be sure you have some curing abilites well then so yeah like he said Draw as many demis as possible and use them right back at him first off Demi will take off tons of damage.. after it decreases alot (about 400 or less) stop using it and start using lightning attacks anything will do use that until he is Dead when you beat him you will get his GF….

Here is another way I have learned it is kinda cheap against him.. what you do is have selphie in your party a pretty good level.. ok get her down to low health and where she can use her limit thingy…that magic thing well anyway go to her turn and open the playstation lid keep it open until you find what you want to use on him (Look for THE END) or any high or powerful magic attack and you can take as long as you want because Diablos cant attack when the lod is open…when you find what you want to use close it and use it on him …. haha This does work trust me i have done it many of times

if you have some low level characters, use two of them and then have someone strong. diablos’ level is an average of the three characters’ level. that’s why he’s crazy difficult when you use the magic lamp later in the game. good luck.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">I can beat Diablos quite easily when I first get the magical lamp. Here’s my strategy:

Give everyone the highest magic stats as you possibly can. By this stage you may only have a Mag-J on two characters, but give them the best junction you can. 🙂

Early on in the battle, draw and cast Demi if you can (this is the significance of having high magic stats; Demi is very difficult to draw this early on. When Diablos uses Gravija, every character’s HP is reduced by 3/4. This might not give them yellow HP, but it is enough to allow you to use limit breaks. Use Duel and Renzokuken, then get Selphie to use Full-Cure. This works for most of the battle, although towards the end Diablos tends to use the physical attack much more. Just cure if necessary to keep your HP above about 250-300 or so. 🙂

I was lucky enough to get the spell ‘The End’ from Selphie’s limit break.

Cast Blind on him to prevent (most of) the phys attacks. Junction Tornado/Aero to Elemental Atk, as he’s weak against air, and then do what Meltigemini said.

Dude, you seriously need to learn English. I’ve seen your other posts, and you just sound retarded.

I beat him in the 1st disc tho it took a while to do. i kept usin carbuncle on my party to screw his demi over and wen i was the only guy left (Squall), i owned him badass with the coolest limit breaek in the game, Renzokuken.

How did I miss this before? This has to be one of the most ancient threads in the section. Closed.
