Has anyone else seen that FFIX is similar to… (****be spoilers in here)

I don’t mean anything bad to FFIX in this message, but has anyone else seen how similar it is to 6, 7, 8?

I mean, Kuja was almost like Sephiroth in FF7, looked a little bit same, was a psycho-clone. And he as after Garnet’s eidolons just like Kefka was after espers.

they also use the some of the same weapons and the same battle system (except ffX). and in the series theres always someone who has to save the world (or something to do with the world) and theres always someone named cid. stupid XI has to ruin it.

the planet name gaia is the name of a town in ff1

There’s a guy in Lindblum named Locke too, an old man. I really like FFIX personally, one of the better ones.

I still have to say VI, VII, and X have no equal among games. They’ve sucked me in more than any game.

I think 9 was more like 6 than any other games. Just lots of features make them similar. Such as evil villian, different classes and skills for each character, use four people, use limit on some weak ass enemy without me wanting them too, hot chicks, chocobos, lots of moogles, lead character isnt human.

So many things make them similar. And the villians both look like clowns, (I thought the FFIX villian did, lol)

Of course it’s like the rest!!!!!! It’s a sequel, they’re usually like the rest.

well, wasn’t that the point? FFIX was a celebration of the FF series. When they made FFIX, they took the best from each games, and made a new one. In an old-school wrapping. I thought the game was absolutely brilliant, and without a doubt the best game in the series. The story is classical Final Fantasy, and the battle system and old character system is from the earliest games. Kind of a way to introduse the classical games for new RPGrs.

Well if you think about it, they’re all linked in SOME way….

Summons/GF’s/Ediolons/Aeons, whatever you want to call ’em..

Chocobos (with the exception of FF1)

A world map (With the exception of FF10)
