Well, I saw Golgo 13: Queen Bee once… It seemed to me to basically be both a lousy action anime and a lousy porn anime. 😮

I have on DVD The Professional:Golgo 13, Golgo 13:Queen Bee, Golog 13:The Kowloon Assignment(Live-Action starring Sonny Chiba as Golgo 13), both NES games and 2 issues of the translated manga. I think Golgo 13 is awesome. The first anime(Professional) was far superior to the second(Queen Bee). But the character of Duke Togo is awesome. I love Golgo 13.

Loved the first movie, liked the second movie, enjoyed both games, and REALLY dug the translated manga I’ve read. I have to say if any character is dying to be revamped for a modern renewal, it has to be Duke Togo, GOLGO 13!

It’s pretty much impossible to revamp Golgo 13 since his series is still running and all, as far as I know. How the manga has continued publication for almost 40 years, I don’t know.

We’ve got an actual Golgo 13 arcade machine at the nickel arcade here – it’s a weird sniper game. It’s pretty fun. I played the old Top Secret Episode, but never got past the guys with the mortars. Why there are dozens of guys with mortars hanging around Grecian ruins, I’ll never know…
